read without the teacher, supporting each other. Teacher helps if everyone struggles.

Kipper the Clown The children put on a circus. Kipper was a clown. Floppy pulled his leg. Chip was a strong-man. He made everyone laugh. Wilma and Biff did gymnastics. Everyone had a drink. “What a good circus!” said Mum. Wilf was a stuntman. Kipper was fed up. He wanted to be a stuntman. “Look at me!” he said. Everyone looked at Kipper. 11. Creative writing

Start by writing the date and the heading. Underline using a ruler.

Below is what you will be working towards. Use it as a guideline. Do not let your child see it and just copy. There are words provided to help them, but most of this they should be able to write independently. Discuss the pictures fully first and provide the suggested sentences after the discussion. You may suggest the sentences; they then write the words neatly on the lines, making sure to use capital letters and full stops.

This week, now that you all have an exercise book to work in, we would like

you to start setting the test out as follows.

The test words are out of 14 marks

For the sentence, there are a total of 8 marks. One mark for each word. One mark for a capital letter at the beginning and one mark for a full stop at the end.
