Audition Dates Monday, September 9th 4:00pm – 6:00pm Tuesday, September 10th 4:00pm – 6:00pm
§ Only required to attend one day of auditions § Auditions are held in Lab School 101
Who Can Audition? Auditions are open to ALL Fresno State students. What Shall I Prepare for Auditions? Actors will be provided with scenes from the play to read at the audition. No prepared monologue is required. How Can I Get A Perusal Script? Perusal scripts may be checked out from the Theatre Arts Department Office. You can also email the ETC Chair, Rodolfo Robles Cruz ([email protected]) or the Director Kimmy Kaur ([email protected]). When Are Performances? Friday, Nov. 15th 4:00pm & 8:00pm Saturday, Nov. 16th 7:30pm Sunday, Nov. 17th 2:00pm *** STRIKE AFTER SUNDAY PERFORMANCE ***
When Are Rehearsals? Rehearsals begin Thursday, September 12th Rehearsals are from 4:00pm – 6:00pm Workdays: Saturday, Nov. 2nd and Saturday, Nov. 9th from 9am – 5pm Tech Rehearsal: Sunday, November 10th Noon – 6:00pm Dress Rehearsals: Mon., Nov. 11th – Thurs., Nov. 14th from 3:30pm – 6:30pm Conflicts may be accommodated! Please list all possible conflicts on your audition form. About The Play Happy’s brother, Timmy, has been murdered, and Happy is the only one who has the power to get to the bottom of this. Happy must return back to his clown roots, and must reunite with his Clown Bar coworkers. Will Happy be able to solve the case, or will there be a clowntastic twist allowing him to never return home? Casting (7 Male, 3 Female; Gender Swapping is an option, Non-traditional casting) Giggles: The rule keeper, orderly conduct, strange, unsettling, always laughs before murder Shotgun McGhee: Always on his toes, trigger finger happy on his shotgun, tough guy, tough clown Dusty: The singer of the bar, sad clown, Timmy: Happy’s brother, un-funny clown, small willed, drug junkie Twinkles: Level headed, Happy’s friend, will always help in a time of need, doesn’t want to cause problems Happy Mahoney: Sensitive, detective/cop, seeks the truth, strong connection to the past, wants revenge Petunia (F): Sweetheart of the bar, the angel of the bar, calm, collected, innocent Popo (F): The wildest member of the bar, ruthless killer, will do anything for some chaotic fun Blinky Fatale (F): Scandalous, Happy’s ex-girlfriend, beauty of the bar Bobo: The boss of Clown Bar, Clown Gangster, only sweet to Blinky
