Sub: Filling up of the posts of Senior Research Officer in TRAI (Headquarter),New Delhi on deputation on foreign service terms.

Sir,

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), New Delhi, is a statutory bodyset up under an Act of Parliament viz. the TRAI Act, 1997. TRAI has beenestablished to regulate the Telecommunications Services and to protect the interest ofservice providers and consumers of the telecom sector, to promote and ensureorderly growth of the telecom sector and for matters connected therewith orincidental thereto. The functions relating to regulation of Broadcasting and CableServices Sectors have also been entrusted to TRAI from 2004.

2. The organization proposes to fill up of the posts of Senior Research Officerin its Headquarter, New Delhi on deputation on foreign service terms, initially for aperiod of two years. The details of qualification and experience etc., are as under:-

Pay Level: Pay Level-ll in the Pay Matrix under 7th CPC

[Pre-revised PB-3, Rs. 15600-39100+ GP Rs. 6600] withallowances such as DA, HRA etc. as per Govt. Rules.

Eligibilitycriteria:

Officers of the Central Government, Central Public SectorUndertakings and Statutory and Autonomous Bodies:-(i) Holding equivalent post on regular basis OR(ii) Officers in Junior Time Scale with 4 years of regular

service in that grade OR 7 years of regular service in thegrade of Section Officer OR any other equivalent ORhigher grade. The officer must possess the workingknowledge of computer.

Qualification: A Master / Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Economics / Commerce / Engineeringj Law j SciencejHumanities from a recognized University / institution or,Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and possessingrequisite experience in the relevant field.

3. The appointment will be made on deputation on foreign service terms and willbe governed by the instructions issued by the DoP&Trg. OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (PayII) dated 17th June, 2010, as amended from time to time. The maximum age forappointment on deputation shall in no case exceed 56 years on the date of closingof applications in TRAI.

4. All the Ministries/Departments, Central Public Sector Undertakings andStatutory and Autonomous Bodies are requested to forward applications in theprescribed proforma (can be down loaded from TRAl's website www.trai.gov.in)along with attested copies of ACRs/ APARs for the last five years andvigilance/ disciplinary clearance of eligible candidates whose services could beplaced at the disposal of the Authority immediately in the event of their selection.The application should be sent in an envelope superscribing the post applied for tothe Senior Research Officer (A&P), Telecom Regulatory Authority of India,Mahanagar Door Sanchar Bhawan, J.L. Nehru Marg (Old Minto Road), next toZakir Hussain College, New Delhi-ll0002 on or before 15th March, 2019.
