3 HCC – RBA5 for Windows User _RA_Version 1.0
Introduction
Window users (non-HCC Devise) can access their windows w7 and w10 desktop using the RBA5 Client
This is required to access your upgraded desktop.
RBA5 can be used with most HTML5 browsers like Edge, Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Opera. This Guide does not apply for Mac users. See RBA5 For Mac User Guidance
Accessing Desktop
Step 1:
Enter below link into your web browser or Copy and paste it https://remoteaccess.rds.hertscc.gov.uk
Step 2:
Enter your User Name (Usually First Name and Surname). Enter your Pin followed by Passcode (with no space inbetween). Select Login
Step 3: If you are accessing for the first time the message below may pop up, select Allow
Step 4:
Enter your AD Username and Password and select Sign in

Step 5:
Select VDI icon (depending on your location, the VDI name varies). VDI can be VDI County Hall, VDI Stevenage etc
Step 6:
If you are accessing for the first time the message below may pop up after selecting the VDI icon. Select Open
Step 6a:
If accessing via Microsoft edge the below box appears. Enter your AD login details with Hertscc\ in front of your username and enter your password

Step 7:
Your desktop displays and you can access your applications as usual

Logging Out of your desktop and RBA
For Windows 10
For Windows 7
Step 1:
From your desktop select Windows icon
From your desktop select the Start icon
Step 2
From the List displayed, select image icon
and then Sign out
Select Log Off
Step 3:
That will take you to Hertfordshire County Council (or your location) VDI screen, Select Sign out on the top right corner of the window
