Science & Engineering The Department of Computer
Science and Engineering was formed in the
year 1999. The department has started
B.Tech program with an initial intake of 40
in the year 1999 and 120 from 2007
onwards. The department has also started
M.Tech program with an initial intake of18
in the year 2006, and an increase in the
intake to 36 in the year 2011. The
department is accredited by NBA in the
year 2007 for a period of 3 years and was
reaccredited in the year2012 for a period
of 2 years.
The department has 36 qualified
teaching staff with 3 PhDs and 33 M.Techs.
Our faculty members aim at delivering top
class education blending their rich research
experience with class room teaching. The
entire faculty is involved in research
activities and has published/presented 200
papers in national and international
journals and conferences.
The department has ACM student
chapter and CSI student chapter. The
department offers various certification
training programs to students like APSSDC
Mobile App Development Program, CISCO:
CCNA certification and R-Programming
Certification through APSSDC-NASSCOM to
make the students well prepared to face
the industry. The department has also
established Intel FICE Lab to encourage
students with new technologies

1. Internet of Things
There is no agreed-upon definition, but there is a test for determining
whether something is part of the IoT: Does one vendor's product work with
another's? Does a door lock by one vendor communicate with a light switch
by another vendor, and do you want the thermostat to be part of the
conversation?
Here's the scenario: As you approach the front door of your house, a
remote control built into your key unlocks the door. The door's wireless radio
messages the network, which prompts the hall light to turn on. The house
thermostat, which was lowered after you left for work, returns to a comfort
zone. Everything is acting in concert, which brings us to the elegant
definition of IoT by Paul Williamson, director of low power wireless for
semiconductor maker CSR: "A true Internet of Things is coordination
between multiple devices."

the Graduate School (1994-1999); Senior Lecturer (Massachusetts Institute of
Technology, 2001-2) Adjunct Professor (2002-Present). Concurrently co-founded
and held executive or advisory roles with companies including Relational
Technology, Inc. (founded 1980, later Ingres Corporation), Illustra Corporation
(founded 1992, later acquired by Informix where Stonebraker was Chief
Technology Officer 1996-2000), Cohera Corporation (1997, acquired by
PeopleSoft), StreamBase Systems (2003, acquired by Tibco in 2013), Vertica
Systems (2005, acquired by HP), Goby (2008, acquired by Telenauv in 2012),
SciDB (2008), VoltDB (2009), and Tamr (2013).
