How to Qualify• Players earn “norms” a la
chess• Some norms already earned• New norms up for grabs in
today’s competition• Four categories will award
threshold norms; top player automatically qualifies for the team
• Any spots remaining, including the alternate, are determined by total norms
Bonus Phase• Five three-part bonus series
per category• Ten seconds to write each
answer• Answers will be revealed and
players will count up points• Norm ≥ 100 points• Anyone with norm (or the top
three if fewer norms) moves to tossup phase in the category with those points
Tossup Phase• Ten tossups per category,
with sudden death if needed• Negs but no powers• One buzz per player per
tossup; five seconds to buzz after end of tossup
• No hesitations allowed; don’t wait to be recognized
• 1st place player gets automatic qualification

• ANSWER: Arethusa• [10] Arethusa was one of these 50 nymphs,
