How to teach seniors!The workshop must be considered as a leisure activity Little groups : 1 instructor for 4 students8 weeks to learn the basics ( mail/internet/ text editor)1h30 or max 2h (with a pause) per weekPaper handouts
For the instructor : lots of patienceconcrete, without technical jargon
If senior instructor : better mutual understandingIf junior instructor : interesting intergenerational exchange
What should seniors learn about ICT?
A bunch of useful applications for daily life = the best motivation for learners / the computer is only a TOOL !
Be WIRED = understand how/that digital technologies affect :• Culture• Economy• PoliticsThe concept of Internet culture :E-administration, e-governmente-identity and security problemsE-participation : the e-citizen gets involved in thedecision making process – chats with elected representative
