• I am 18 years old and have just finished studying a BTEC level 3 in Engineering at Bath college

• I applied to ICS as I wanted to take a gap year and travel to broaden my horizons BUT whilst also making a positive difference to the lives of others less fortunate than myself

• This coming weekend I have a workshop in Doncaster to meet the organisers and other volunteers

• When I get back to the UK I will either look for an engineering apprenticeship or apply to University (an Engineering course) to start September ‘20

• This is the final part of my ICS journey which I complete once I am back from my placement.

• I use it to explain to people what I have done and the difference that has been made.

• There are 7 main ways to complete the action at home task:– Campaigning– Volunteering– Engaging with the media– Fundraising for charity– Raising awareness– Parliamentary activity and lobbying– Starting a social enterprise
