Shaun Tan Award for young artists now openCalling all young creatives! The 2016 Shaun Tan Award for Young Artists is back.

Once again we’re looking for talented Western Australian students aged between five and eighteen years to submit an original drawing, painting or other two-dimensional (2D) creation, no bigger than 1 metre by 1.5 metre in size.

The finalists in each category will take home prizes thanks to the City of Subiaco and our award sponsors. Plus the best works will be framed and exhibited for one month at Subiaco Library in late July.

Repositioning the Subiaco Town Centre as a unique and exciting destination is a high priority for both the community and the city, and in 2016 the city is proud to launch the refreshed town centre branding See Subiaco.

With a focus on promoting Subiaco as a great place to live, work and visit the new brand has been developed from direct engagement with the workers, visitors and residents treading the pavement in the town centre. The new branding is the city’s first step in working with the community to form a fresh and authentic identity for the town centre, celebrating the character and promoting the vibrancy and future direction of Subiaco.
