TAG-HEUERDIRECTOR, SPONSORING & EVENTS
CANDIDATE BRIEF
TAG Heuer is looking for a Director Sponsoring & Events (m/f) to be based
in their La Chaux-de Fonds Headquarters.
The chosen candidate will lead the company wide sponsoring activities
which entails defining the strategy, sourcing and negotiating partnership
agreements, and driving the 360 degrees activation.
In addition, he/she will oversee the planning and implementation of local
and global events.
The candidate will lead the Events & Sponsorship team in their
responsibilities of planning, organizing and executing.
THE ROLE
• Work with the brand management to define the
sponsoring strategy and develop the annual
sponsoring and activation budgets accordingly,
• Identify the long-term sponsorship partners in
line with the company’s DNA and strategy,
• Drive negotiations of sponsoring partnerships
to maximize opportunities and impact for the
brand,
• Ensure proper internal and external
communication of our sponsoring platforms,
• Work closely with the TAG Heuer subsidiaries
to ensure full activation of the existing
partnerships,
• Oversee, inspire and direct the development
and execution of the Events budget and plan for
the company,
• Work closely with the digital, advertising, PR
and product teams to maximize the impact of
the sponsoring activities and related events,
• Conduct evaluation post events and incorporate
findings into future activities,
• Lead, inspire, and motivate the Events and
Sponsorship staff in reaching their goals
as well as elevating beyond their current
positions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Strong understanding of the sponsorship market and a network of relationships across all
sectors of the sponsorship landscape.
• Deep knowledge of the Sports business landscape.
• Sponsorship deal track record, having closed multiple lucrative long-term deals with
stakeholders from various industries.
• High level connectivity – client side and sponsorship community in general.
• Business knowledge – being up to date with business trends across various markets and
industry sectors.
• International thinker and operator – someone who is appreciative of other cultures and business
practices.
• Strategic thinker – able to shape, develop and execute the strategy on a local and global scale.
• Strong negotiation skills, adept at operating at Senior Executive level and with excellent
presentation skills.
• Ability to work well within a matrix organization.
• Events management experience in roles of progressive responsibility, including team
management/supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership track record.
• Fluency in English is required with fluency in French desired.
