For the intentions of: His Holiness Pope Francis

MASS INTENTIONS In today's gospel, Jesus gives his mission to all believers: "Go out to the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature.” This mission is not given to a select few but to all believers. To be a Christian is to be a proclaimer and an evan-gelizer. There is a difference between preaching and proclaiming. “We preach with words but we proclaim with our lives.” As we celebrate the Lord’s return to His Father in heaven – His Ascension -- we are being commissioned to go forth and proclaim the Gospel of life and love, of hope and peace, by the witness of our lives. On this day let us renew our commitment to be true disciples everywhere we go, beginning with our family and our parish, "living in a manner worthy of the call [we] have received.”

First Communion Congratulations to all the chil-dren who Celebrated their First Communion this weekend! "As you join God's family on your First Communion day, may

Jesus Christ, Our Savior, bless you on your way, may you feel his lov-ing presence in a very special way... And as you strive to fol-low in his footsteps may he bless your life with many graces and lasting happiness."

New Beginnings Congratulations Fr. Bartek

For nearly two years, Fr. Bartek has served our parish as an as-sistant pastor and we have come to enjoy him very much. But, with a bitter-sweet mix of emotions we congratulate him as he has been appointed pastor of St. Ber-nard Clairvaux, a neighboring parish. We will have the opportunity to express our gratitude and good wishes to him on the weekend of June 13 and 14, 2015 after all masses. Fr. Bartek will begin his new as-signed ministry July 1st. Our prayers and gratitude go with him and we call upon the help of St. Bernard to guide him as pastor of this new community.

Questions for Reflection:

Does our maturing to “the full stature of Christ” imply some growing pains?

Where is Christ most recognizable in your life? In your humility? Your gentleness? Your patience?

What kinds of signs might you see today when you or someone else proclaims the gospel?

ShareLife Working wonders for our new arrivals in Canada…Within one year of arriving in Canada, large numbers of immigrants who had no prior mental health problems experience mental health challenges that often impede their ability to settle in Canada. in addition, there are few cultur-ally and linguistically appropriate mental health services. Last year, ShareLife

agencies helped to meet this challenge by providing advocacy programs for more than 40,000 immigrants and refu-gees in the GTA. Thank you for your generosity. Together we can work won-ders!

Baptism Class and Orientation During the months of July and August, 2015 Baptism Orientation and Baptism Classes will not be available. We ask par-ents who are planning to request a baptism to keep in mind that once classes and ori-entations stop during the summer, the pro-cess cannot start until September. This does not mean that there are no baptisms in July and August, but only those who prepare ahead of time can choose any of these two months as baptism’s dates. Please contact the par-ish office for more information.
