Jessica Lee, an American violinist of Korean descent, has been heard at Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall and Avery FisherHall. Most recently she garnered First Prize at the 2005 Concert Artist’s Guild International Competition. Highlights of the2005-2006 season include recitals at the Caramoor Festival, the Phillips Collection in Washington D.C., a New York recitaldebut at Weill Hall, touring with “Musicians from Marlboro,” and performances at Town Hall and the Kennedy Center. Ms. Leewas accepted at age 14 to the Curtis Institute of Music under the tutelage of Robert Mann and Ida Kavafian. In May 2003she completed her studies with Robert Mann for a Master of Music degree at the Juilliard School, and she currently residesin New York.

Adela Peña, a native New Yorker, enjoys touring the U.S., Europe, and Asia with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, for whichshe has served as concertmaster, and recorded several CDs on the Deutsche Grammophon label. As a founding memberof the Eroica Trio, she can be heard on seven CDs released by the EMI label, and has received two Grammy nominations.She has appeared as soloist in the Beethoven Triple Concerto with notable orchestras worldwide, including the Chicago, SanFrancisco, Seattle, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh symphonies, as well as the Hong Kong and Budapest philharmonic and PragueChamber Orchestra. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Juilliard School as a student of MargaretPardee.

Annaliese Place, an active chamber musician, Annaliese Place has appeared as violinist and violist in the United States andEurope. She is a past participant at Encore, Sarasota, Music Academy of the West, Yellow Barn, La Jolla Chamber MusicSociety, Holland Music Sessions, and Verbier. She recently performed at the Laguna Beach Chamber Music Festival withClaude Frank, Thomas Jefferson’s home at Monticello, Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival, Juneau Jazz and ClassicsFestival, and the French Embassy in Madrid. She was featured on ‘ the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center as part ofthe National Symphony’s Beethoven Festival.

Leslie Tomkins, viola, is the co-founder Artistic Director of the Moab Music Festival which has just concluded the 19thseason. A lover of chamber music, she is a member of the Belvoir Quartet and a frequent guest artist with ensembles suchas New York Festival of Song, Music from Copland House and New York Philomusica. Most recent summer festivalappearances include OK Mozart, Caramoor, Central Vermont and Cooperstown. She plays regularly with many fine New Yorkorchestras as well, including the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Westchester Philharmonic, Stamford Symphony, AmericanComposers Orchestra, Musica Sacra, St. Ignatius Orchestra, and Oratorio Society of New York. Leslie lives in New York withhusband Michael Barrett and daughter Emma.

Peter Weitzner, a graduate of the Juilliard School, has performed with soloist New York, the Jupiter Symphony, EOSEnsemble, SONYC, Philharmonia Virtuosi, Stamford Symphony, Musicians Accord, and the New Jersey Symphony. Assoloist, he has appeared with the Baltimore Symphony and performed the New York premiere of Sheila Silver’s Chant for bassand piano. Mr. Weitzner has been a frequent participant at international music festivals including Mostly Mozart, OK Mozart,Cape May, Festival of the Hamptons, Bratislava Music Festival and the Bruuckner Festival in Linz, Austria. An avid chambermusician, he has performed with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Orion Quartet, Enso Quartet, Trio soloist,New York Chamber Ensemble, Yale at Norfolk, Cooperstown Chamber music Festival, New York Philomusica, and theBerkshire Bach Society.

Roberta Cooper, cellist, was awarded the Artist’s International Award, which sponsored her Weill Recital Hall debut. Agraduate of the Juilliard School, she is an active chamber musician, and was a founding member of the Wave Hill Trio. Ms.Cooper has performed as chamber musician at festivals including Aspen, Arcady, Bard, Marlboro and others. She hasappeared as guest artist with the New Jersey Chamber Music Society, Sea Cliff Chamber Players and with the EmersonQuartet. A member of the Berkshire Bach Society, she has played continuo with harpsichordist Kenneth Cooper for over tenyears. A versatile musician, Roberta appears as solo cellist on Linda Ronstadt’s latest CD recording of jazz standards,(Hummin’ to Myself).

Jeanette Resnick, graduated from Oberlin Conservatory where she was a student of Emil Dannenberg and Arthur Dann.Subsequently she has taken part in master classes with Dorothy Taubman at Amherst College and studied with Heinrich Sholzat the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. In recent years she has been coached by Richard Goode and has been an invitedparticipant in Alfred Brendel’s workshop on Beethoven and Daniel Barenboim’s workshop for pianists and conductors, bothat Carnegie Hall. Ms. Resnick has appeared as soloist and accompanist, as well as in chamber recitals, in Merkin ConcertHall, Dartmouth and Amherst Colleges, Harvard and Hofstra Universities, and numerous Nassau County Libraries. She hasbeen actively involved in music education on Long Island for many years and is a founding member, as well as currentdirector, of the Waldorf Chamber Players.

The Waldorf Chamber Players is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the best in chamber music to theLong Island Community. Many of our programs are carefully selected to hold the interest of young audiences,

and it is our hope that through enjoying live performances of high calibre, parents and children togetherwill find their interest in music stimulated and their own musical studies enlivened.
