Welcome to another season of Nexus Sport Welcome to ACSIS Season 3 Sport, Nexus International School (Singapore) is a member school of the Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools (ACSIS). ACSIS provides learners with an opportunity to compete in an inter-school athletic programme. The academic year is divided into three sporting seasons. Each season offers different sports across various age categories in which our learners may participate. IMPORTANT CHANGES TO NOTE DUE TO CORONAVIRUS (COVID 19) With the unexpected continuation of the coronavirus in Singapore and the precautionary measures recommended by SportSg, MOH and MOE, ACSIS fixtures will not be played during ACSIS Season 3. Training sessions on-site at Nexus will occur weekly and will follow the SportSG guidelines throughout the duration of the season. Quick FAQ How do Nexus learners get involved in the ACSIS Sport Season 3 programme? The sign-ups will allow learners (or parents of children from Year 1 to Year 4) to select sports via the Activities Portal. The Activities Portal will open on Wednesday 3 February at 3.30pm and will close on Friday 26 February (the end of the 2nd week of training) at 1.00pm. Please note that during this period only ACSIS Season 3 Sport selections can be made.
When does training begin for ACSIS Season 3 Sports? ACSIS Season 3 sport training will begin from Monday 15 February and will follow the schedule presented below. The advertised days and times will then become the regular training days for these teams. Fixtures for teams will not be played throughout ACSIS Season 3 due to the coronavirus impacting Singapore.
Will everyone play matches? Please note, that due to the coronavirus precautions, fixtures will not be played during ACSIS Season 3. We hope to play some friendly matches if restrictions are eased.
When do Season 2 & 3 CCAs start? Season 2 School CCAs start on Monday 25 January, 2021 and sign ups will open from Thursday 14 January. Season 3 School CCAs start on Monday 19 April, 2021. Do the CCA buses run for Nexus Sport prior to CCA’s starting? Yes, our 4.35pm buses now operate throughout the whole year. Please fill in this form to book the CCA bus.

Nexus Swimming
Welcome to Nexus Swimming. I hope that you had a great term 2 and we are looking forward to another fantastic swimming term ahead. Despite the current situation, we are very much looking forward to continuing our work with all our swimmers, who are ultimately, the future of Nexus Swimming. We are pleased to inform you all that we are now allowed to have an extended ratio for our squad training to 1:24 per coach which means we are more flexible with the total number of swimmers per squad.
What to do if you would like to get involved
If you are new to Nexus (joined after August 2020) and would like to be considered for the Nexus Swim Team, you will need to undertake a trial. Please email Mr. Ivan Bunakov [email protected] and Ms. Larisa Mogutova [email protected] to arrange a suitable time.
If your child is unsuccessful in their trial this time around, we will send an email recommending a team placement for when COVID19 restrictions will be lifted.
Expectations for the swim trial:
1. Your child must be able to perform at least three recognisable strokes (for example front crawl, butterfly, breastroke ) and have the endurance to swim 100 meters non-stop.
2. Your child must have an appropriate swimsuit, swim cap and goggles.
