Can you help support primary, secondary or higher education for young people in India? Our student sponsorship scheme offers young people and their families a life-changing opportunity to break the cycle of poverty. Education increases their chances of finding a job and earning a living in the future and benefits not only them but their extended family and community. We support three types of courses:

Higher Education Scheme (HES)Specially designed for undergraduate students, a limited number of medical students are sponsored each year but the majority of HES students are BSc Nurses or Engineers.

Sponsorship cost:£120 per year for 1 - 4 years

Technicaland Vocational Training (TVTS)Professional and vocational courses such as the General Nursing Diploma, teaching, plumbing, fitting, electrical engineering and nursing assistants.

Sponsorship cost:£70 per year for 1 - 3 years

Vidya Jyothi Scheme for school children (VJES)State education in India is not always free, it differs from state to state and often requires funds to pay for school uniforms, books, transport and food. The government only provides limited funds for education. The Vidya Jyothi Scheme, meaning “knowledge and light”, enables children to remain at school and complete their studies.

Sponsorship cost:£15 one-off payment
