Sustainable F&B Packaging

A B O U T U S

Share the truth about global plastic waste issue in its entirety

and invite all to start using sustainable products.

All that we create must have a positive environmental and

social impact, so that we can actively participate in

stewarding this planet as per the grand design.

Always in pursuit to offer sustainable F&B packaging

solutions that is earth friendly yet affordable.

We provide F&B packaging that is friendly to our environment. Collaborating with the market leaders in

their respective fields, we are able to create eco-friendly packaging that returns to earth upon its end-of-life.

Doing our part to address the plastic waste crisis.

2Very competitive price, economically viable across plastic products and market segments.

3 Proven degradation through oxo-biodegradation process as tested and passed ASTM 6954.

4Has been widely applied to shopping bags, garbage

bags, packaging products, food and non-food packaging, disposable food trays, cups, utensils (spoons, forks,

straws), polybags, and many others.

1Oxo-biodegradable additives degrades plastic until it decomposes back into the soil, eaten by microbes (not more physical fragmentation resulting into micro-plastics, but instead molecular and chemical degradation).

F A Q

Are Oxium based F&B Packaging products food safe?

Oxium is made of a safe natural mineral (non-heavy metal) material. This is corroborated by test results from various credible agencies that prove that Oxium is safe in direct contact with food (food grade). Oxium has passed the RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), BPOM (Food and Drug Administration), Japan Migration Standard and EU Migration Standard.

What is Oxium?

Oxium is an additive that is added to conventional plastic materials to accelerate oxidation and biodegradation process. Naturally, conventional plastics take about 500-1000 years to degrade. Oxium makes the process of degradation in conventional plastics becomes faster, only within a period of 2-5 years (depends on the design).

Oxium in the form of plastic pellets like master batch, which is generally used with a certain dosage and added to conventional plastic pellets.

How does Oxium work in F&B Plastic Degradation?

Basically, the polymerization process creates a very long hydrocarbon chain in plastics, which is about > 7 million. In contrast to rice and sugars whose hydrocarbon chains are just as long as < 100,000 carbon chains. The length of this carbon chain makes the plastic takes about 500 - 1000 years to decompose physically (fragmentation) and molecule (degradation) which is then broken down by microbes (biodegradation).

Oxium is able to accelerate the process of cutting the molecular chains of plastics through oxidation process from the oxygen, UV rays, heat and other environmental pressures. The oxidation process allows microbes to consume/decompose plastics, which is why Oxium technology is known generally as oxo-biodegradable technology (two stages of degradation through oxidation and biodegradation processe).

F A Q

Can Ecoplas be eaten or drunk?

Ecoplas is not to be eaten, because the starch has been through strengthening process and grafted with other important materials. Ecoplas combines the advantages of natural biodegradable starch with the strengths (oxygen barriers, etc) commonly characterized in plastics. Therefore the solution is not only environmentally friendly, but also meet the required properties and functionalities of the finished goods (as bags, packaging materials an many others).

What is Ecoplas?

Ecoplas is a degradable bioplastic made of cassava starch.

How does Ecoplas degrade?

Ecoplas is a plastic that requires soil microbes in the process of decomposition. The more the microorganisms in the soil, the Ecoplas product will decompose more quickly.

Where does the cassava to make Ecoplas comes from?

Cassava is supplied from cassava farmer cooperatives in Indonesia. This makes the Ecoplas achieve Fair for Life certification that is committed in three aspects, namely social impact, fair trade and environmental impact. Ecoplas provides a very real social impact on the life of cassava farmers. Every production process, from the supply of raw materials to the products to the customer’s hands is done with a fair principle (cassava raw materials from the farmers are fairly, in accordance with the needs of the farmers). Each Ecoplas sold will have a positive impact not only on the environment but also on the welfare of Indonesian cassava farmers.
