premise of financial feasibility in rebuilding Fort Laurens in Bolivar – the only revolutionary war fort ever built in Ohio.

The Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail Project [O&ECTTP] that is part of the Ohio Erie Canal National Heritage Corridor will eventually extend from Cleveland’s lakefront in the north to Dover & New Philadelphia in the south and will serve bicyclists, runners, hikers, canoeists, families and lovers as they discover places of peace & tranquility, hidden views of wildlife and artifacts of Ohio’s original settlers.
