Before you start…

• Alwaysensurethatthevessel’spowersourceandbatteryaredisconnectedorisolatedpriorto installation.

• Aqualifiedprofessionalshouldcarryoutboththeelectricalandmechanicalinstallation.

• TheSUPRAlightingsystemshouldbefullyinstalledbeforeconnectingthe Lumi-LinkSUPRABridge.

• TheLumi-LinkSUPRABridgemustbemountedinadrylocationandonaflat(notcurved) surfaceawayfromanysourcesofheatorvibration

• TheLumi-LinkSUPRABridgeworkswiththeLumi-LinkDisplayandorcompatible Multi-functionDisplays(MFD).-checkthecompatibilityofyourMFDpriortoinstallingthe Lumi-LinkSUPRABridge.TheMFDmayrequireasoftwareupdate.

• TheLumi-LinkSUPRABridgehasanaccessibleSDcardslotforfuturesoftwareupgrades. Whenmounting,futureaccesstothisSDcardslotshouldbetakenintoconsideration.

TheLumi-LinkSUPRABridgeisacrossplatformdevice.Viaethernet,itcanconnecttoasingleormul-tipleMFDnetwork,connecttoaLumishoreLumi-linkdisplayorbecontrolledbyasmartPhone/tablet(viaWi-Fi).

CompatibleMFD’sincludethefollowing…

TheLumi-linkDisplaycanbeusediftherearenoMFD’sonthevesselorifadditionalaccesspointsarerequiredaroundthevessel.ForfulldetailsoftheLumi-linkDisplayseeLumi-LinkDisplayinstallationinstructions.

Viaanon-boardWi-Finetwork(eitherthroughtheMFDWi-FiorthroughtheLumi-LinkDisplayon-boardWi-Fi)theLumi-linkappcanbecontrolledfromasmartdevice.FullinstructionsforthisareincludedintheLumi-LinkSUPRABridgeusermanual.

Connecting the Lumi-Link SUPRA Bridge to the Lumi-Link Display or MFD

FordirectconnectiontotheLumishoreLumi-LinkDisplayanystandardethernetnetworkcablecanbeused.ConnectiontothevariousbrandsofMFD’sarebrandspecific.ThefollowingdiagramsshowthecomponentsrequiredtoconnecttheLumi-LinkSUPRABridgetoeachbrand.

ThelengthofnetworkcabledependsonwheretheLumi-linkSUPRABridgehasbeeninstalledrelativetotheDisplayorMFD.EachMFDmanufactureroffersdifferentlengthsofnetworkcable,checkyourinstallationlengthbeforeordering.

LumishoresuppliesaFieldinstallRJ45IP67covertomakeyourconnectionstotheLumi-LinkSUPRABridgewaterproof.Thecovershouldbeusedonallinstallations.Note:TheinternalsupportmayormaynotberequireddependingonthetypeofEthernetconnectormolding.

Raymarine MFD Install - Use Raynet to RJ45 Cable - Raymarine PN: A80151

Garmin MFD Install - Use Garmin Conversion Cable PN: 60-0372 and Garmin Network Cable.

(Note: The Garmin Conversion cable MUST be installed - only use Garmin network cables)





Simrad & B&G MFD Install - Use Navico Conversion Cable PN: 60-0373

Furuno MFD Install - Use Standard Ethernet Cat5e cable





Lumi-Link SUPRA Bridge Connections

TheSUPRABridgeusesproprietarydatamessagestocommunicatebetweenthelightsandcontroller.TheLumi-LinkSUPRABridgecanonlybeusedtocontrolLumishoreSUPRAproducts.

TheLumi-LinkSUPRABridgeispluggedintotheDataINportontheSUPRAHub(seeexamplediagramsonthefollowingpages).

• TheLumi-LinkSUPRABridgeisfor12/24voltDCoperation(10-31voltinput).Underno circumstancesshouldtheBridgebeconnecteddirectlytoMainsACvoltage.

• AlwaysuseasuitablefuseorcircuitbreakertoprotecttheLumi-LinkSUPRABridge andeachelementofthesystem.

3PinM12Lumi-LinkDataoutconnector:

Plugthe3-PinM12ConnectordirectlyintotheDataINportoftheSUPRAHub.Thecablescanbeex-tendedusingLumi-Linkextensioncables.

Pre-moldedLumi-linkDMXcablesareavailablein1meter,5meterand15meterlengthsasrequired.Multiplecablescanbecombinedifafurtherdistanceisrequired.

Lumi-Link SUPRA Bridge - Status LED’s

IfpowertotheLumi-LinkSUPRABridgeislosttemporarilythenthesystemmaynotfullyfunctionuntilyouexittotheHomescreenontheMFD,andthenre-selecttheLumi-LinkScreen.

IftherearemultipleMFDsinuse,andoneoftheMFDsisusedtoaccessaset-upmode(e.g.LightSet-Up),thentheotherMFDswillbelockedoutandwilldisplayamessage.Ifthismessageisseen,exittothehomescreen.Oncetheset-upiscompletedthesystemcanbeusedasnormal.

Warranty

LUMISHORELtdwarrantsthe Lumi-Link SUPRA Bridgetobefreefromdefectsinworkmanshipandmaterialsforaperiodoftwoyears,startingfromthedateoforiginalpurchase.Misuse,abuse,improp-erinstallation,neglect,impropershipping,damagecausedbydisasterssuchasfire,flood,andlight-ning,installationbyunqualifiedpersonnel,unauthorizedrepairormodificationwillvoidthiswarranty.Fortheavoidanceofconfusionanddoubt,non-compliancewithallinstallation,maintenanceandoperatinginstructionsinthisdocumentconstitutenon-conformancewithwarrantyterms.
