NECESITA A JESS?

ada vez que llegamos al centro o la mitad de algo, suele decirse po-pularmente que hemos llegado al corazn. As por ejemplo, los mircoles decimos que estamos en el corazn de la semana, y ahora que estamos en junio podemos decir que estamos en el corazn de este ao. La palabra corazn aparece cientos de veces en las Es-crituras, pero el corazn al que se refiere no es al rgano fsico, sino al corazn espiritual; el que catali-za nuestros deseos, motivos, inten-ciones y acciones. Jesucristo vino a la tierra a revelarnos al Padre, pero tambin a revelarnos a noso-tros mismos. Esto quiere decir que l anhela que entendamos la na-turaleza de nuestro corazn. Jess dijo: Porque donde est vuestro tesoro, all estar tambin vuestro corazn (Mt. 6:21). Si Jess te

preguntara hoy: Qu tipo de te-soro guardas en tu corazn, cul sera tu respuesta? La mitad del ao es un buen tiempo para hacer un alto en el camino, reflexionar acerca de lo que hemos hecho, y transformar el resto de nuestra vida. Busquemos a Dios apasiona-damente, rindmonos a l, y de-jmoslo que sane, limpie, restaure y transforme nuestro corazn. La Escuela Sobrenatural del Ministe-rio Quntuple (ESMQ) 9, a finales de este mes, es una buena opor-tunidad para tener un encuentro transformador con nuestro Padre celestial. Aprovechamos este tiem-po para desearle a todos los hom-bres que han tomado en serio su compromiso con Dios y su fami-lia, Feliz Da de los Padres!

Haga esta oracin: Padre celestial, yo reconozco que soy un pecador, y que mi pecado me separa de ti. Hoy creo que Jess muri por m en la cruz y que Dios Padre lo resucit de entre los muertos. THE TREASURES OF YOUR HEART

NEED JESUS?

ach time we reach the center or half of something, often it is said that we reached the heart of the matter. For example, we say Wednesday is the heart of the week and, now that we are in June, we can say that we are in the heart of the year. The word heart appears hundreds of times in the Scriptures but the heart it refers to is not the physical organ, rather the spiritual heart that catalyzes our desires, motives, intentions, and actions. Jesus Christ came to earth to reveal the Father to us but also to reveal ourselves to us. This means that He desires that we understand the nature of our heart. Jesus said, For where your treasure is, there your heart will be

also. (Matt 6:21). What would your answer be if Jesus were to ask you today, What kind of trea-sure do you keep in your heart? Midyear is a good time to stop in our journey, reflect on what we have done, and transform the rest of our life. Let us seek God pas-sionately, surrendering to Him, allowing Him to heal, cleanse, restore, and transform our heart. The Supernatural Fivefold Minis-try School (SFMS), at the end of this month, is a good opportunity to have a transforming encounter with our Heavenly Father. Let us take advantage of this moment to wish all the men who have taken their commitment to God and their family seriously a Happy Fathers Day!

Pray this prayer: Heavenly Father, I recognize that I am a sinner and that my sin separates me from You. I believe that Jesus died for me on the cross and that God the Father raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord. I repent of all my sins and break every covenant made with the world, with my flesh, and with the devil, and I make a new covenant with Jesus. I ask You to come into my heart and change my life. If I were to die right now, when I open my eyes, I know I will be in Your armsAmen!

T We all need a change of mind-set in order to fulfill what God has planned for us and to live as He intended us to. When we were saved, we received not only the new man, or a new spirit, with the nature of Christ, but we also received a new mindthe mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). Just as our heart has to be transformed by God to line up with the new man within us, our mind must be transformed to align with the mind of Christ wi-thin us. We have a vital part to play in this process, because we are comman-ded to love God not only with all our heart and all our soul but also with all our mind. (See Matthew 22:37.) Our mind must increasingly become one with Gods. Otherwise, we cannot become effective vessels to carry out His purposes.

Our beliefs and attitudes are rooted and established in our hearts, in-fluencing our mind-set and thoughts,

Tal como nuestro corazn tiene que ser transformado por Dios para alinearse con el nuevo hombre dentro de noso-tros, nuestra mente debe ser transfor-mada para alinearse con la mente de Cristo en nosotros. Tenemos un papel vital en este proceso, porque estamos mandados a amar a Dios no slo con todo nuestro corazn y con toda nuestra alma, sino tambin con toda nuestra mente (vea Mateo 22:37). Progresivamente, nuestra mente debe llegar a ser una con la mente de Dios. De otra manera, no podemos convertirnos


en vasos eficaces para llevar a cabo sus propsitos.

Nuestras creencias y actitudes estn enraizadas y establecidas en nuestro corazn. En consecuencia, ellas influyen en nuestra mentalidad y pensamiento, y propician nuestro comportamiento. Adems, hay maneras como nuestra mente influye nuestro corazn y afecta su condicin. Por ejemplo, como hemos indicado, Satans intenta manipular nuestro corazn plantando malos pen-samientos en nuestra mente e incitando nuestra naturaleza de pecado para que se levante en forma de orgullo, lujuria, rebelin, y ms. Por eso es que la forma cmo pensamos y razonamos, y la clase de pensamientos que permitimos que permanezcan en nuestra mente, son tan importantes.

El apstol Pablo escribi, Porque las armas de nuestra milicia no son carnales, sino poderosas en Dios para la destruccin de fortalezas, derribando argumentos y toda altivez que se levanta contra el conocimiento de Dios, y llevando cautivo todo pensamiento a la obedien-cia a Cristo (2 Corintios 10:45).

Cuando nuestra mente est alineada a la razn humana, nuestro enfoque est en las cosas temporales, y las cosas imposi-bles permanecen imposibles.

La necesidad de un cambio de mentalidad, estructura y mensaje

El mundo que est a nuestro alrededor se mueve dentro de un marco de ciertas mentalidades establecidas que provienen de la cada de la humanidad. Algunas de sus actitudes y puntos de vista son duda, inseguridad, celos, codicia, depresin,

The apostle Paul wrote, For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:45).

When our mind is aligned with human reason, our focus is on temporal matters, and the impossible remains impossible.

The Need for a Change of Mind-set, Structure, and Message

The world around us moves within the framework of certain established mind-sets that resulted from the fall of huma-nity. Some of its attitudes and outlooks are doubt, insecurity, jealousy, greed, depression, and a fear of death. A chan-ge of perspective from a natural outlook to a spiritual one is necessary for the supernatural power of God to manifest through us.

Gaining a new mind-set prepares the way for changes in our structure. By structure, I mean the way in which a person, group, organization, or coun-try functions or operates, or the way in


which an individual carries out a particular purpose. For example, a person under the

influence of the fall might live according to

an oppressive mental structure that keeps him perpetually in a negative state or causes him to experience one personal crisis after another.

Our mind-set guides every action we take. A change of mentality will therefore transform

our structurehow we conduct our lives, and what pursuits we believe are possible. Let me add here that we cannot try to implement a new structure in an organization unless those involved have all experienced a similarly trans-formed mind-set that has led them to have a

new vision for themselves and the organization.

For example, if we were to try to change the

structure of a church before the people had

been taughtand had acceptedits basis in

the Word of God, or before they had embraced

a vision for change, the result would be only

confusion, fighting, bitterness, division, and

separation. That is why people must always be taught the Word of God and be given a

demonstration of its reality before change can

occur.

Finally, as we adopt a new structure, the mes-sage we communicate also changes. Each of

Christs supernatural acts was aligned with the proclamation of the gospel of Gods kingdom.

Therefore, as our mind-set and structure are

changed to reflect the supernatural nature of

the kingdom, we will go to our families, churches,

communities, cities, and nations with the message of a supernatural gospel that transforms lives.

Permtame aadir aqu que no podemos tratar de implementar una nueva estructura en una organizacin, a menos que aquellos que estn involucrados hayan todos experimentado una transformacin similar

de mentalidad que los lleve a tener una nueva visin de s mismos y de la organizacin. Por ejemplo, si furamos a tratar de cambiar la

Additionally, as we are Jesus witnesses in the world, we can also help to transform the institutions of our societywhether fami-lial, educational, judicial, legislative, athletic, artistic, or related to another area. Many of these institutions are infused with the mentali-ty and structures of the corrupt fallen nature. We must take the message of Gods kingdom to people and institutions in all realms of life, so that the lost will be saved, lives will be renewed, the sick will be made whole, the poor will prosper, and the oppressed will be set free.

A change in mind-set will produce a change in structure. A change in structure will produce a change in message. And a change in message will bring about the manifestation of the super-natural here and now!

1. A Spiritual Diet of Solid Food

Many believers have not progressed from milk to solid food in their knowledge and understanding of Gods Word. The milk of Gods Word contains only the fundamentals of faith and doctrine. Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distingui-sh good from evil (Hebrews 5:1314 NIV).

The meat of the Word is our solid food. Unless we progress in our spi-ritual diet from milk to meat, we may experience spiritual starvation. We need specific nourishment from the Word for each stage of our spiri-tual growth. It is only as we advance from basic doctrine to the deeper spiritual truths of the Scriptures and Gods revelation that we will be able to continue to grow and to mature, being continually transformed into the image of Christ.

And [Jesus] Himself gave some to

be apostles, some prophets, some

evangelists, and some pastors and

teachers, for the equipping of the

saints for the work of ministry, for the

edifying of the body of Christ, till we

all come to the unity of the faith and

of the knowledge of the Son of God

(Ephesians 4:1113). Christ established

the five spiritual officesknown as

the fivefold ministrylisted in the

above verse. He gave them to His

church as agents of change to per-

fect His people. Jesus invests Himself

selves in others. When the church

functions under the structure of the

fivefold ministry, believers are enabled

to receive revelation from God from

each of the spiritual offices. In that

way, they can partake of the balanced

diet of solid food they need in order

to be transformed into the image of

Christ.

In fact, every believer should share

what he has received from God with

others, especially his fellow Christians.

He has only good things in store for

youabove and beyond what you can now

imagine.

3. Un rompimiento de su ambiente

Jess san a un ciego de una manera

inusual, pero proftica (vea Marcos

8:22-26 NVI). Para empezar, Jess lo

tom de la mano y lo sac fuera de la

aldea, de manera que la restauracin

de la vista de aquel hombre sucediera

fuera de su ambiente normal. Acaso

Cristo no podra haberlo sanado dentro

This keeps our spiritual lives fresh and

current. We cant just fill up with

revelation knowledge and wisdom,

spiritual anointing, and ministry gifts.

When we fail to empty what we have

received into the lives of others, we

eventually become spiritually stagnant,

having a selfish, religious mind-set.

3. A Breakthrough from

Your Environment

Jesus healed a certain blind man in an

unusualbut propheticmanner. (See

Mark 8:2226.) To begin with, Jesus

took him by the hand and led him out

of town, so that the restoration of

the mans sight took place outside his

normal environment. Couldnt Christ

have healed him within the town? Of

course! But I believe there was an

atmospheresuch as unbeliefin that

town that would have prevented the

manifestation of Gods power to super-

naturally heal. After Jesus had healed

the man, He told him, in effect, Dont

go back to towngo directly to your

house. Why did He say that? I think

the reason was to keep the man from

losing his healing by returning to that

atmosphere.

If you want to make the decision to be transformed by Gods presence, please pray the following prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come before Your presence with an open heartnot hiding anything from You or pretending to be spiritual. I recognize that I have lived according to a religious mind-set, with deficient patterns of conduct or structures, or methods, of ministry and service that have left me spiri-tually stagnant. I ask You to forgive me for ignoring and/or rejecting the supernatural. Today, I make the decision to break away from the environments that hinder me and to begin seeking Your presence wholeheartedly, because I am hungry and thirsty to know Your transforming power!

Come to me, Lord, and show me the areas in my life that need to change. I dont want just a touch from YouI want a complete transformation of my heart. I want to think as You think. I want to believe as You believe. I want to do what You do. Change my heart and my life. Open my spiritual eyes and ears so that I may see and hear the move of Your Spirit and follow it, regardless of human opinion or any other temporal, earthly influence. I want You to dwell within me and to enable me to become useful and relevant in service to Your kingdom. Thank You, Lord, because my transformation begins today! In the name of Jesus, amen!

How did David merit being called a man after Gods own heart?

How did he capture the heart of

God? The following are the major

characteristics of a heart after Gods

own heart.

1. A Heart After Gods Own Heart Passionately Seeks Gods Pres-ence

One of the virtues of Davids heart

was that he was passionate about God. He wanted to know God, to love Him, to dwell in His presence, and to receive direct revelation from

Him. He sought to please God and to serve Him with his whole being. David wrote, O God, You are my

God; early will I seek You; my soul

thirsts for You; my flesh longs for

You in a dry and thirsty land where

there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see

Your power and Your glory (Psalm

63:12).

David was always thirsty for

Godand his thirst impelled him to

seek the Lords presence continuous-ly. Psalm 42 provides another vivid

David escribi: Dios, Dios mo eres t; de madrugada te buscar; mi alma tiene sed de ti, mi carne te anhela, en tierra seca y rida donde no hay aguas, para ver tu poder y tu gloria, as como te he mirado en el santuario (Salmos 63:1-2).

God: As the deer pants for the water

brooks, so pants my soul for You, O

God. My soul thirsts for God, for the

living God (Psalm 42:12). Such a

thirst for God cannot be manufac-

tured. It manifests in a persons life

during a sincere, continuous quest to

experience His presence.

David was consumed by this quest.

He sought Gods face every day, and

even during the night. (See Psalm

63:6.) And, each time he was con-

fronted with a crisis, he would look

to God for help, because he totally

depended on his relationship with

the Lord. The more we love God,

the more we will desire Him; and the

more we know of Him, the more we

will want to learn of Himalways

more. More of God will never be

enough for us!

A lack of spiritual thirst will produce

spiritual dryness, which will yield only

legalism, religion, and spiritual death.

2. A Heart After Gods Own Heart

Passionately Worships God

David was also passionate about wor-

shipping God. He wrote, One thing

I have desired of the LORD, that will

I seek: that I may dwell in the house

of the LORD all the days of my life,

to behold the beauty of the LORD, and

to inquire in His temple (Psalm 27:4).

I believe David altered the history of

worship by establishing a pattern of

praise and worship for Israel that was

followed by Gods people from Old

Testament times through the practic-

es of the New Testament church

and his influence continues to impact

us today. From Davids writings in

the book of Psalms, it seems as if he

lived thousands of years ahead of

his timeas if he lived according to

the grace released by Christs death

on the cross and in the power of His

resurrection. (See, for example, Psalm

16:911.)

Generally, David did everything in his

life from a position of worship, be-

cause he had received the revelation

of how worship affects the heart of

God. He knew that worship greatly

pleases Him! If we had a revelation

of this truth, we would worship God

more. We must understand that, like

the exercise of our faith, our worship

of God develops and matures the

more we practice it.

Let us now explore the effects of wor-ship on Gods heart and on our own heart.

Our genuine, passionate worship of God opens His heart to us while

softening our own heart, because it is

an act of voluntary submission and

obedience to Him. Obedience is one of

the greatest acts of worship. If we have

a heart that is hardened and unwilling to submit to God, our worship will be rejected by Him, and He will close off His heart to us. Authentic worship

makes us more sensitive to the Lord, leading us to recognize our true spiritu-al condition so that we will surrender to God, repent, and allow His Holy Spirit to operate the needed transformation

within us.

When you are a genuine worship-per, your life is submitted to God in

everythingHe takes first place over

everyone and everything else.



Necesitamos entender que, como ejercicio de nuestra fe, nuestra

adoracin se desarrolla y madura cuanto ms la practicamos.

Exploremos ahora los efectos que

tiene la adoracin en el corazn de Dios y en el nuestro. Nuestra adoracin genuina y apasionada a Dios abre Su corazn hacia nosotros, a la vez que ablanda el nuestro, porque ste es un acto voluntario de sumisin y obediencia a l. La obediencia es uno de los mayores actos de adoracin. Si tenemos un corazn endurecido que no est dispuesto a someterse a Dios, l re-chazar nuestra adoracin, y nos cerrar Su corazn. La adoracin autntica nos hace ms sensibles al Seor, y nos lleva a reconocer nues-tra verdadera condicin espiritual, de manera que podamos rendirnos a l, arrepentirnos y permitir que el Espritu Santo opere esa necesaria transformacin dentro de nosotros.

Cuando usted es un genuino adora-dor, su vida est sometida a Dios en todo; l toma el primer lugar por encima de todos y de todo lo dems.
