Duties and responsibilities include:- • Receiving complaints/information brought to the Commission; • Analyzing and classifying the complaints and information;

• Interviewing and providing advice to the clients; • Preparing appropriate memoranda and correspondences

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

• Minimum relevant working experience of 5 years;

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Arts, Criminology,

INVESTIGATIONS OFFICER II -DATA ANALYST JOB GRADE EACC “8”-(1 POST) REF: EACC/ID/IOII/2

Reporting to the Assistant Director Report and Data Centre Duties and responsibilities;

• Ensuring the accuracy of data captured and stored • Maintain and update a database of all relevant Reports, Investigations and other

types of data;

• Facilitate extraction and dissemination of information; • Analyze trends and patterns of corruption through analysis of historic data; • Run queries and provide statistics when required;

• Provide data management technical support to other units; • Train other uses on data usage and management.

Requirements for appointment:

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

• Minimum relevant working experience of 5 years 3 of which must have been a

Data Officer;

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Information Technology/Computer studies, Communications or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

• Relevant professional qualifications where applicable;

OPERATIONS OFFICER II -JOB GRADE EACC "8” (1 POST) REF: EACC/ID/OPII/3

Reporting to the Assistant Director Operations

Duties and responsibilities; • Investigation of corruption and economic crimes and supporting prosecution of

cases in court; • Receiving, maintaining and updating complaints/reports database; • Facilitating retrieval and dissemination of information;

• Supporting civil proceedings against any person for the recovery of corruptly acquired property or benefits;

• Compiling reports;

• Carrying out sting operations;

Requirements for appointment For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

• Minimum relevant working experience of 5 years; • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Arts, Criminology,

Communications, Economics, Political Science, Science, Law, Education, International Relations, Engineering, Business Management, Public Administration, Governance or its equivalent Qualification from a recognized

institution; • Relevant professional qualifications where applicable; • Served at the rank of inspector of police or equivalent;

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Intelligence Duties and responsibilities will include:-

• Maintenance and development of sources of information related to corruption and economic crimes;

• Collection of information related to corruption and economic crimes;

• Compiling of information reports; • Recruitment and running of agents and informants; • Producing intelligence briefs/reports as may be required from time to time.

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

• Minimum experience of 5 years in intelligence operations;

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from a recognized university, or its equivalent;

• Relevant professional qualifications where applicable; • Training in Intelligence tradecraft and analysis; • Hands-on experience in collection of intelligence;

Reporting to Assistant Director Forensic Investigations Duties and responsibilities:

• Undertaking document examination, handwriting identification, signature analysis, forgery, identification of typewriters and check writers among other document

examination related tasks; • Managing the operations of the Forensic Laboratory hardware, software and

equipment for examination;

• Generating forensic reports on matters under investigations; • Giving expert testimony in a Court regarding matters under investigations; • Training investigators on operating standard procedures;

LEGAL SERVICES DIRECTORATE

SENIOR LEGAL OFFICER JOB GRADE EACC “6” (1 POST) REF: EACC/LS/SLO/15

Reporting to the Deputy Director – Legal Services

Duties and Responsibilities;

• Carrying out research, share relevant information and monitor the Commission’s compliance with international and national regulatory frameworks and commitments;

• Studying and analyzing policy frameworks of other relevant institutions in Kenya

and other jurisdictions and sharing the relevant information appropriately;

• Developing concept papers, speeches, reports, presentations, briefs, legal

opinions and other documentation to inform processes and decision making;

• Providing advice on legal, governance, administrative, policy and other

frameworks;

• Organizing programs , schedules and diaries as assigned;

• Attending meetings and other forums as directed/advised.

Requirements for Appointments;

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

• A Minimum of 8 years working experience;

(To be based in Nairobi, Mombasa, Garissa, Nyeri, Eldoret, Kisumu, Isiolo, Nakuru, Malindi, Machakos)

Reporting to the Deputy Director – Regional Office;

Duties and Responsibilities;

Drafting policy documents, guidelines and regulations;

Evaluating evidence submitted for determination of its sufficiency and

recommending appropriate action;

Holding brief in the prosecution of anti-corruption and economic crimes and

violation of codes of conduct cases;

Providing actual legal representation in cases where the Commission is sued;

Drafting contracts, Memoranda of Understanding and partnership agreements

between the Commission and third parties;
