2017: A Year in Review2017: A Year in Review We can safely say that 2017 was another year full of changes.
The 2nd floor renovations were completed with the addition of the
Theater Room to the Gallery as well as the changes made to
the dining room giving us The Brunswick and Jacob’s
Tavern! The year was filled with birthday parties, happy
hours, the Extravaganza, the Christmas Gala and so much
more. There is still so much to look forward to in the next
year!

Looking Ahead...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Let’s start the year off right. Can we jump start
our daily devotional time? Are we setting aside
enough time for prayer? What areas of service can we
commit to in 2018?
Join me in challenging ourselves to adjusting our priorities. My
prayer is for us to open ourselves up to new possibilities. Make
us mindful of the small nudges we receive from the Holy Spirit
so that we can become the person God wishes us to be in the
new year.
I’m excited to announce a new bible study by Richard Rohr
called Falling Upward. Rorh writes: Most of us tend to think of
the second half of life as largely about getting old, dealing with
health issues, and letting go of life, but the whole thesis of this
book is exactly the opposite. What looks like falling down can
largely be experienced as "falling upward." In fact, it is not a
loss but somehow actually a gain, as we have all seen with
elders who have come to their fullness.
I look forward to discussing our ability to “come to our
fullness” together. We will be in the new study on Tuesday,
January 16th in the Wellness Center Conference Room at
10:00 a.m. Books are available in my office for $11.50, or a
copy is available in the library for your convenience.
