James-Lee Consultancy (JLC) is a leading educational consultancy and guardianship organisation based in London, United Kingdom (UK). We offer a wide variety of educational services, from fun-filled summer programmes at UK boarding schools, to UK Guardianship Services for international students, to Personal Tutors.

All of JLC’s staff are experienced and have been checked with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), they are thoroughly vetted to ensure the highest possible standards of students’ safety and welfare are maintained.

Welcome from James-Lee Consultancy

The JLC Intercultural EFL Programme offers academic learning in areas such as English, with lessons aimed at developing the four key communication skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking) from an intercultural perspective. In addition, we also offer lessons in Etiquette and Manners, English Literature, British History and the Monarchy, as well as the UK culture in general. To make the EFL programme a significant intercultural experience, it is organised in three axes: Language Awareness, Culture Awareness and Culture Experience. Language Awareness refers to the specific instruction in language skills with a special emphasis on real communicative use. Cultural Awareness aims at gaining intercultural knowledge by carrying out a series of talks, demonstrations, video-forums, shows, and so on about both the Culture in the UK and the students’ own background. Cultural Experience embeds the set of sporting, fun and tourist-like activities such as excursions and study tours that will allow students to experience culture face to face.

Interpersonal skills are covered within the lessons and include soft skills training, such as communicating effectively, debating, confidence building and leadership, which are combined with sports, leisure activities and excursions to some of England’s most famous destinations. As an add-on service, students and their parents may also visit and tour schools, colleges and universities (UK Institution Tour) either individually or as a group.
