2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/3 cup butter

2 eggs
Instructions
1. Cream the butter and sugar.

2. Add the eggs well beaten, then the milk.
3. Add flour sifted with baking powder and stir thoroughly.
4. Bake in buttered and floured cup tins in a hot oven for about 25
minutes.
5. Once the cupcakes are completely cool, they can be covered
with any kind of frosting or topping.

Forbes magazine has released its nineteenth annual list of the worldsrichest people. It comes as no surprise that Bill Gates tops the list for theeleventh straight year. His wealth, at $46.5 billion ($46,500,000,000),was slightly down on last years $46.4 billion, although he probably isntlosing sleep over this. Second richest was American investor WarrenBuffet ($44bn), and third was Indias Lakshmi Mittal ($25bn). Otherunbelievably rich people in the top 100 include Chelsea Football Clubowner Roman Abramovich (#21), Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi(#25), E-Bay founder Pierre Omidyar (#35) and Benetton boss LucianoBenetton (#35).
Forbes said the number of billionaires increased to a record 691 thisyear (341 from the USA) compared with last year's 587. Of these, 68 arewomen, including American businesswoman Martha Stewart. Thebillionaires are from 45 different countries, including first-timers,Kazakhstan, Poland, Ukraine and Iceland. The youngest is GermanysPrince Albert von Turn und Taxis, who is just 21. Next are Googles co-founders Larry Page, 32, and Sergey Brin, 31. Forbes says it takes morethan brilliance and elbow grease to become a billionaire, and thatcertain personality types are more likely to make it to their list. Sometimes, a hug is all what we need.
Free hugs is a real life controversial story of Juan Mann, A man whos e sole mission was toreach out and hug a stranger to brighten up the ir lives.
In this age of social disconnectivity and lack of human contact, the effects of the Free Hugscampaign became phenomenal.
As this symbol of human hope spread across the city, police and officials ordered the FreeHugs campaign BANNED.
How it all started:
I'd been living in London when my world turned upside down and I'd had to come home. Bythe time my plane landed back in Sydney, all I had left was a carry on bag full of clothes anda world of troubles. No one to welcome me back, no place to call home. I was a tourist in myhometown.
Standing there in the arrivals terminal, watching other passengers meeting their waitingfriends and family, with open arms and smiling faces, hugging and laughing together, Iwanted someone out there to be wait ing for me. To be happy to see me. To smile at me. Tohug me.
So I got some cardboard and a marker and made a sign. I found the busiest pedestrianintersection in the city and held that sign aloft, with the words "Free Hugs" on both sides.
And for 15 minutes, people just stared right through me. The first person who stopped,tapped me on the shoulder and told me how her dog had just died that morning. How thatmorning had been the one year anniversary of her only daughter dying in a car accident.How what she needed now, when she felt most alone in the world, was a hug. I got down onone knee, we put our arms around each other and when we parted, she was smiling.
Everyone has problems and for sure mine haven't compared. But to see someone who wasonce frowning, smile even for a moment, is worth it every time.

Mongolia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. The tradition sees men
honoring their mothers, wives, girlfriends, colleagues, etc with flowers and small
gifts. In some countries IWD has the equivalent status of Mother's Day where
children give small presents to their mothers and grandmothers.
The unfortunate fact is that women are still not paid equally to that of theirmale counterparts, women still are not present in equal numbers in business or
politics, and globally women's education, health and the violence against them is
worse than that of men.
However, great improvements have been made. We do have female astronauts
and prime ministers, school girls are welcomed into university, women can work
and have a family, women have real choices. And so the tone and nature of IWD
has, for the past few years, moved from being a reminder about the negatives
to a celebration of the positives.
How about Korea?
In general Asian women lag behind men in socio-economic advancement, but they
are catching up in some countries. These are the findings of a regional survey,
MasterIndex of Women's Advancement, released on the International Women's
Day by MasterCard International.
Gender equality is represented by 100 points. Anything below 100 indicates
gender inequality against women.
Overall, women notched up their best score in gender equality in Thailand with a
score of 92.3. Others followed in the given order: Malaysia (86.2) , China (68.4),
Australia (67.6), Taiwan (66.4), Hong Kong (65.1), Vietnam (63.7), Singapore
(61.3), the Philippines (57.8), New Zealand (54.6), Japan (54.5), Indonesia (52.5),
and South Korea (45.5).
