WARREN COLLEGE STUDENT-FACULTY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS: HIGH TABLE DINNERS & COFFEE W/A PROF

What faculty are saying: “As I sat down at High Table, the young man seated next to me said ‘I read your bio and came tonight to meet with you.’ That evening resulted in the opportunity to mentor an outstanding young Bioengineering student who over the next four years excelled in the classroom and in engineering a world health project. Thanks to High Table.” -John Watson, Professor of Bioengineering “It has been a wonderful experience to take part in the High Table Dinners.  It has provided me with the opportunity to reconnect with students outside the realm of the classroom on a more personal basis, where I can hear their dreams and experience and share with them mine.  This has made me aware of the gap between my ‘former’ youth and their youth, and has helped me to be a better teacher.” -Kimloan Hill, Lecturer of Vietnamese Heritage Language

What students are saying: “Coffee with a Prof was very helpful, and it provided an entirely different atmosphere for communication with the professor.” "This was a great way to meet with my Professor outside of office hours! I'm grateful he was able to take time out of his busy schedule to meet with me. I definitely recommend Coffee-with-a-Prof to any student who wants to talk to his/her professor outside of the traditional, academic setting!"
