That when we have a discussion, we are just sharing our thoughts and listening to the thoughts of others. But as Oliver Sacks teaches us, that’s not the case. It’s through speaking and sharing with others that we come to understand what we think. The activities in this workshop are designed to help you understand what you think and determine what’s most important for your story. Discover – Use Focused Freeform Jotting or FFJ at home to take a download of your thoughts and see what you think. Craft – your thoughts into a sentence, a “sliver” or a “Slice” ---- the limited length allows what’s most important to rise to the top. Share – your sentence, sliver, or Slice with the group and hear your larger story unfold. The Discover Craft Share method helps you create a meaningful, multi-generational story, that is both concise and comprehensive. The story you create will endure and be carried forward by the next generation.
