Special terms/Techniques to be taught:Bind off, Cast on and slip knot, Garter stitch, Gauge, Weavein ends, Adding fringe, Reading a Pattern.

Gauge:13 stitches = 4"; [10 cm]; 26 rows = 4"; [10 cm] in Garterstitch (knit every row).BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles toobtain the gauge

Abbreviations:None

Instructions: ScarfCast on 24 stitches.Row 1 (Right Side): Knit across row.Row 2 (Wrong Side): Knit across row.Continue to work in Garter st (knit every row) until Scarfmeasures 70"; [178 cm] or desired length.Bind off loosely.

Fringe:Cut 52 strands of yarn, each 13"; [33 cm] long. Hold 2strands together and fold in half. Pull folded loop througha stitch along one short end of Scarf. Pull the ends throughthe loop and pull to tighten. Repeat to attach 13 fringesevenly spaced along short end. Repeat to attach remaining13 fringes along opposite short end. Trim ends of fringeevenly.

Finishing:Weave in ends.
