Baptisms Baptisms are celebrated in English on the 3rd Saturday of
every other month at 12:00 PM. Please bring your child’s
Birth Certificate to the Rectory to make arrangements for
Baptism and Baptismal instruction.
Communion to the Sick Those parishioners who are confined to their home may
request the Sacrament of Holy Communion by calling the
Parish Office.

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS GIFT GIVING
If you wish to be part of our annual Christmas Gift Giving
during the Advent season, please purchase a present for a
child (infants through teenagers) and return it
(UNWRAPPED) to the Church or Rectory Office by THIS
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 18th.

BABY’S FIRST CHRISTMAS
If your child was born after December 26th, 2017 and before
December 25, 2018, we would like to invite you to bring your
child to their “Baby’s 1st Christmas Blessing”. Please call the
Rectory (718-768-6065) with your child’s name as soon as
possible.

NEW HATS, GLOVES, & SOCKS NEEDED
Our Parish Soup Kitchen, held here at St. Michael’s each
Saturday is holding a clothing drive for NEW HATS,
GLOVES, & SOCKS. Donations may be dropped off in the
Church THIS WEEKEND, December 15th & 16th, or to the
Rectory Office by WEDNESDAY, December 19th. Thank you
for your continued generosity to those less fortunate in our
community!
AGUINALDO MASSES - Beginning Monday, December 17th
We will continue the tradition of celebrating Aguinaldo Masses
for the 9 Mornings before Christmas. Celebrated at 5:30am
each morning from Monday, Dec. 17th through Monday, Dec.
24th (except Sunday, Dec. 23rd), the Aguinaldo Masses are
followed by a simple breakfast, prepared by the different
groups and societies of the parish. While the Aguinaldo Masses
are celebrated in Spanish, we invite all parishioners to consider
attending at least one morning to experience this beautiful
tradition of spiritually preparing for the birth of Jesus at
Christmas.

CHRISTMAS GIFT TO THE CHURCH
The second collection today will be your Christmas gift to St.
Michael’s. We are so grateful for the generosity of all of our
parishioners throughout the year!! We ask each parishioner to
be as generous as possible to help our parish as we celebrate
Christmas. Thank You & Merry Christmas!
CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING - THANK YOU!
We thank all those who helped to make our annual Tree
Lighting such a beautiful night, especially our New York City
Firefighters (Ladder 114), who helped to welcome our special
guests!! We also thank the New York City Police Officers of
the 72nd Precinct who are always there to help us and keep us
safe. We thank Mr. Harris and our children's choir, the Parish
Staff & Volunteers, & Mr. Noel Vasquez and the Youth
Leaders, whom helped to make our celebration shine even
more brightly with the Lights of Inspiration Christmas Tree
Program. We also thank ALL the businesses and families who
sponsored a Christmas Tree as part of the Lights of Inspiration
Program!!
THANK YOU FR. GESSON & Family Retreat Day Team
We thank Fr. Gesson for Blessing us with a wonderful Retreat
Day and Presentation on building up strong and healthy
marriages and families. We also thank our Prayer Group "Dios
con Nosotros" & other groups for providing the food and
refreshments as well as those volunteers who helped with the
children's activities.
THANK YOU TO OUR CURSILLISTAS!!
We thank Antonia Crespo and all our Cursillistas, especially
the leaders and volunteers, who, this past Sunday, provided a
wonderful "Welcome" and "Clausura" for 54 women who had
attended a "Cursillo" weekend Retreat. There were more than
300 Cursillistas and Family members from all over our
Diocese who came to welcome these new Cursillistas,
including 2 parishioners from St. Michael’s: Epifania Martinez
and Noelia Gonzalez-Martinez. "De Colores"!!
FEAST OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE - THANK YOU!
We thank our Guadalupe Committee and all the volunteers for
their hard work and planning to make our "Guadalupe"
celebration so beautiful! We thank those who decorated the
Church so beautifully, Mr. Harris and our adult choir, the CCJ
Music Ministry, our ministers, lectors, servers, ushers, and
parish staff who helped to make the Feast a true Blessing for
our parish. We also thank all the local businesses who donated
food and contributed so generously in many ways. We were
once again blessed by the presence of Fr. Francisco Javier
Martinez, of the Archdiocese of Puebla, Mexico. We thank Fr.
Francisco for his beautiful homilies, prayers and his priestly
ministry. May our Blessed Mother, La Virgen de Guadalupe,
continue to intercede for and always lead us closer to Jesus!!
RECONCILIATION MONDAY
The sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) will be offered
in the Church TOMORROW from 4 PM - 8PM.

Si desea participar de nuestro programa anual de regalos de
Navidad durante la temporada de Adviento, compre un regalo
para un niño (bebés o adolescentes) y traígalo SIN
ENVOLVER a la Iglesia o la Oficina de la Rectoría antes del
MARTES, 18 DE DICIEMBRE.

cionar algo especial a un niño durante esta temporada de

SEGUNDA COLECTA
REGALO DE NAVIDAD A LA IGLESIA
La segunda colecta será su regalo de Navidad a San Miguel.
Estamos muy agradecidos por la generosidad de todos nuestros
feligreses durante todo el año! Le pedimos a cada feligrés que
sea lo más generoso posible para ayudar a nuestra parroquia

¡GRACIAS!
¡Agradecemos a todos aquellos que ayudaron a hacer que
nuestra iluminación anual de árboles fuera una noche tan
hermosa, especialmente a nuestros Bomberos de la Ciudad de
Nueva York (Ladder 114), quienes ayudaron a dar la
bienvenida a nuestros invitados especiales! También damos las
gracias a los oficiales de policía de la Ciudad de Nueva York
del Precinto 72 que siempre están allí para ayudarnos y
mantenernos seguros. Agradecemos al Sr. Harris y al coro de
nuestros niños, al personal de la parroquia, a los voluntarios, al
Sr. Noel Vásquez y a los Líderes Juveniles, quienes ayudaron a
que nuestra celebración brille aún más con el Programa del
Árbol de Navidad de Luces de Inspiración. ¡También
agradecemos a TODAS las empresas y familias que
patrocinaron un Árbol de Navidad como parte del Programa
Luces de Inspiración!
¡GRACIAS PADRE GESSON!
Damos las gracias al Padre Gesson por bendecirnos con un
maravilloso día de retiro y presentación sobre cómo construir
matrimonios y familias fuertes y saludables. También
agradecemos a nuestro Grupo de Oración "Dios con Nosotros"
y a otros grupos por proporcionar comida y refrescos, así como
a los voluntarios que ayudaron con las actividades de los niños.
GRACIAS A NUESTROS CURSILLISTAS!!
Agradecemos a Antonia Crespo y a todos nuestros Cursillistas,
especialmente a los líderes y voluntarios, quienes, el domingo
pasado, brindaron una maravillosa "Bienvenida" y "Clausura" a
54 mujeres que asistieron a un retiro de fin de semana de
"Cursillo". Hubo más de 300 Cursillistas y Familiares de toda
nuestra Diócesis que vinieron a dar la bienvenida a estos
nuevos Cursillistas, incluidos 2 feligreses de San Miguel: Epi-
fania Martínez y Noelia Gonzalez-Martínez "De Colores"!!
FIESTA DE NUESTRA SEÑORA DE GUADALUPE ¡GRACIAS!
¡Agradecemos a nuestro Comité de Guadalupe y a todos los
voluntarios por su arduo trabajo y planificación para hacer que
nuestra celebración de "Guadalupe" fuera tan hermosa!
Agradecemos a los que decoraron la Iglesia de una manera tan
hermosa, el Sr. Harris y nuestro coro de adultos, el Ministerio
de Música de la CCJ, nuestros ministros, lectores, servidores,
acomodadores y personal de la parroquia que ayudaron a hacer
de la Fiesta una verdadera bendición para nuestra parroquia.
También agradecemos a todas las empresas locales que don-
aron alimentos y contribuyeron tan generosamente de muchas
maneras. Una vez más fuimos bendecidos por la presencia del
P. Francisco Javier Martínez, de la arquidiócesis de Puebla,
México. Damos las gracias al p. Francisco por sus hermosas
homilías, oraciones y su ministerio sacerdotal. ¡Que nuestra
Santísima Madre, la Virgen de Guadalupe, siga intercediendo y
siempre nos acerque más a Jesús!
LA PRIMERA NAVIDAD DE SU BEBE
Si su hijo nació después del 26 de diciembre de 2017 y antes del
25 de diciembre del 2018, nos gustaría invitarlo a traer a su
niño/a para la 1ra Bendición de Navidad de su bebé. Llame a la
Rectoría (718) 768-6065 con el nombre de su hijo.
NECESITAMOS GORRAS, GUANTES
Y MEDIAS NUEVAS
Nuestro Comedor de Beneficiencia, que se celebrá aquí en San
Miguel cada sábado, está organizando una colecta de ropa
NUEVOS CALCETINES, GORRAS Y GUANTES. Las
donaciones pueden ser entregadas en la Iglesia ESTE FIN DE
SEMANA, del 15 al 16 de diciembre, o en la Oficina de la
Rectoría antes este MIÉRCOLES, el 19 de diciembre. ¡Gracias
por su continua generosidad con los menos afortunados en
nuestra comunidad!
MISAS DE AGUINALDO
A PARTIR DEL LUNES 17 DE DICIEMBRE
Continuaremos la tradición celebrando las Misas de Aguinaldo
durante las 9 Mañanas antes de Navidad. Las Misas de
Aguinaldo se celebran a las 5:30am cada mañana desde el lunes
17 hasta el lunes 24 de diciembre (excepto el domingo 23 de
diciembre) y son seguidas de un sencillo desayuno preparado
por los diferentes grupos de la parroquia. Aunque estas misas se
celebran en español, invitamos a todos los feligreses a
considerar asistir por lo menos una mañana a experimentar esta
hermosa tradición de prepararse espiritualmente para el
nacimiento de Jesús en Navidad.

Una nueva clase de inglés comenzará el 15 de enero. Para
