Designed for use on steam systems operating up to 600 psi and 650° F. Ductile iron body with stainless steel diaphragm.

■ As a steam trap it removes all condensate and non-condensable gases from the equipment being trapped and returns the dis-charge toward the boiler. ½” and ¾” NPT connections.

■ Turn it upside down, plug the angle-side inlet and it’s a thermo-static air vent! Can be installed on all steam equipment up to its maximum ratings. ½” and ¾” NPT connections.

These Spirax-Sarco Thermostatic Steam Traps efficiently operate at steam pres-sures up to 465 psi, and temperatures up to 572° F. The traps come equipped with a Standard (STD) operating capsule that opens to discharge hot condensate at 22° F. below saturated steam temperature. The model BPC32Y comes with an integral stainless steel strainer.

The trap should be installed on a horizontal plane with the cover at the top, and preferably with a drop leg immediately preceding the trap. When installing a socket weld model there is no need to remove the element first as long as welding is electric arc method. ANSI 150 and 300 flanges optional.

The Spirax-Sarco SBP30LC has an all stainless steel construction, both internals and body. The welded stainless steel operating element is self-adjusting over the entire operating pressure range and will discharge condensate at approximately 18° F. below saturated steam temperature. The stainless steel operating element is resistant to water hammer and super heat up to 90° F. over saturated steam temperature can be tolerated. Typical applications include kitchen and hospital equipment, steam tracers, steam coils, steam radiators and steam main drip stations.

Spirax-Sarco TSS-300 & DTS-300 Thermostatic Steam Traps

Both the DTS– and TSS-300 are very similar except that the TSS-300 is used where no back-up of con-densate should be tolerated - In other words, hot condensate must be quickly discharged. Therefore:

■ The TSS-300 is for critical and non-critical steam tracing systems and main drips. ■ The DTS-300 is for non-critical steam tracing systems only. ■ Either installed vertically or horizontally.

Both models feature All Stainless Steel Bodies, internals plus the following:

■ Balanced pressure operational element that discharges condensate at approximately 20 F below satu-rated steam temperature ■ Maximum operating pressure: 300 psi. Maximum operating temperature: Saturated steam temperature at 300 psi. ■ Both models “Fail” open.

The Spirax-Sarco MST21 (standard capacity) and MST21H (higher capacity) have all stainless steel construction and can adjust to all steam operating pressures up to 304 psi.

■ Three discharge temperatures offered: 40° below steam saturation temperature; 7° below saturation and the other almost at saturation (steam) temperature. ■ Preferred installation is a vertical pattern. If installed horizontally to the ground the trap should be preceded by a short drop leg. ■ If used as an air vent, install inverted - Outlet on top. ■ Internal element withstands water hammer and temperatures to 518° F. ■ The internal element assembly and cover gasket are readily available repair parts

These Spirax-Sarco SMC32 Thermostatic Steam Traps have a carbon steel body and bimetallic operating element and stainless steel internals. They efficiently op-erate at steam pressures up to 465 psi, and temperatures up to 662° F.

The trap should be installed on a horizontal plane with the cover at the top, and preferably with a drop leg immediately preceding the trap. Spirax-Sarco HP High Pressure Bimetallic Steam Traps Spirax Sarco Models HP45, HP80, HP100, HP150 and HP 210

Spirax-Sarco models HP45, HP80, HP100, HP150 and HP 210 are designed for very high pressure steam: Maximum steam working pressures from 652 psi (Model HP45) to 3045 psi (Model HP210).

■ Forged steel body with stainless steel operating internals and integral stainless steel strainer screen ensure both robust and efficient operation. ■ HP series (except HP45) include a check valve to prevent problems associated with backpressure. ■ All models have an external adjusting control to allow the discharge temperature of the condensate to be controlled. ■ These steam traps operate with no loss of steam and quickly expel air and large quantities of cold water on start-up.
