Needs Identification

Startoday Ltd works closely with its clients both at individual level and association level to identify major challenges they face and provide customized support to ensure the mitigation of those challenges: this could be with regards to finance, markets, inputs, technologies, costs, and a range of other issues.

Technical Assistance

STL invites companies to think about all stages necessary to get innovative new products and services successfully to market as a primary means to growth and profitability.

Stage 1: Seeking opportunities: This may be a formal growth strategy or simply just a new mind set.

This program aims at linking our clients to funding opportunities at all stage of business growth (pre– seed, seed capital, equity capital, etc) both at start-up and growth stages.

Access to Markets

This program supports our clients to improve their quality, to boost their productivity, to comply with existing norms and regulations (tax, standardizations, etc) and to reach local, regional and international markets.

Policy and Community Support

This program aims to create a business

ecosystem where policy-makers, practitioners, business owners, civil society and the entire community have same understanding on issues/ trends/challenges/ realities that are in the sector and adopt appropriate solutions.

• Reduced mortality rate of new businesses by 60% (currently estimated at 80%).

• Increased employment rate among our clients (more than 500 decent work will be created annually)

• Increased productivity and revenues among our clients (by 30% annually)

• Increased exports among our clients ( 30% of total production)

• Increased collaboration and partnership among clients (a value of more 5 billion Rwf to be created)

Annex 1: Some definitions

• Management consulting is the practice of creating value for organizations, through improved performance, achieved by providing objective advice and implementing business solutions. In other words, management consultants help take organizations further than they would go on their own.

Annex : Some definitions (next) • Strategic management is the continuous planning,

monitoring, analysis and assessment of all that is necessary for an organization to meet its goals and objectives.

• Strategic objectives are long-term organizational goals that help to convert a mission statement from a broad vision into more specific plans and projects.

• A business strategy is the means by which it sets out to achieve its desired ends (objectives). It can simply be described as a long-term business planning.

• Corporate Core Values. Companies can have core values as well. These are the guiding principles that help to define how the corporation would behave. They are usually expressed in the corporation's mission statement.

• Business transformation is about making fundamental changes in how business is conducted in order to help cope with a shift in market environment.

• Human capital management (HCM) is an approach to employee staffing that perceives people as assets (human capital) whose current value can be measured and whose future value can be enhanced through investment.

• Customer relationship management (CRM) is an approach to managing a company's interaction with current and future customers. It often involves using technology to organize, automate, and synchronize sales, marketing, customer service, and technical support.

• Supply chain management (SCM) is the management of the flow of goods and services. It includes the movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption.
