Start: Drive Highway 3 to the Bombi Summit (near Castlegar). There is a parking lot at the summit. You can either park there or - if the forestry road is open - park up the forestry road as far as you can (several parking spots are marked above). If you can get 7km in, you will not have to ski the road. End: Porto Rico Parking Lot, on Highway 6. It is possible to hitch back to your car, but leaving a car is preferred.
