Start: Drive Highway 3 to the Bombi Summit (near Castlegar). There is a parking lot at the summit. You can either park there or - if the forestry road is open - park up the forestry road as far as you can (several parking spots are marked above). If you can get 7km in, you will not have to ski the road. Day 1: From Bombi Summit, ski up the forestry road. At 7km marker, leave road & switchback / ski up to the Col, then descend a short distance to Grassy Hut.
