EDGE: Rules, Rules, Rules: January 8th. Have you ever thought life was too full of rules? Wouldn’t it be more fun if you could do whatever you want when you want? A lot of the times we think the same thing about our faith: it’s all about the rules! But little do we realize that God’s rules are there to protect us and we’re going to learn this first hand by playing the wackiest game of freeze tag ever! LIFE TEEN: January 8th: Picture Perfect – Say cheese! We’re kicking off the new semester by breaking into our semester topic: the Sacraments! We’re going to start things off by having a photo scavenger hunt and learn ultimately how the sacraments are efficacious signs of God’s grace and mercy in our world.

(2nd degree: UNITY of Action and of Purpose!) (Each Fraternal country has its own Supreme Fund) PARISH NURSE NOTES: “You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.” Psalm 65:11 NIV In addition to improving your physical health, what can you do to improve your mental and spiritual health? What are your interests? Do you like to talk with people, visit the homebound, tutor young children, or help with the disabled? Explore your community for organizations or agencies where

you could volunteer in those capacities and pick a project. Good health is more than eating right; it is sharing the love of Jesus Christ by sharing your time and talents. Giving of yourself benefits the recipient as well as you. It improves your mental health by focusing on others rather than yourself and grows your spiritual life as you demonstrate your faith, so start volunteering today! In last week's parish nurse notes about family models it was stated that: "Today’s families are led by traditional parents, single parents, gay couples, blended or step families, or by a group that is unrelated." Please know that this was a cut and paste blurb. In the haste and business of the Christmas season it was not properly proof read before it was submitted and there was no intention to endorse gay union. Although we recognize the dignity of each person, the Church teaches that the Sacrament of Marriage is between one man and one woman.
