Faithful disciples put Jesus above everything and everyone in their lives, including themselves. They take up their personal cross and follow Him. Each act made in Jesus’ name will be acknowledged by God. Let us beg the Holy Spirit for the strength to live in Christ Jesus.

This week’s + PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL+ To the Prayers of the Faithful, please respond: Lord, hear our prayer. That pastors speak truth with courage and love, leading all to the light of Christ…we pray to the
Lord. That the Lord will heal the wounds of division and violence in our nation…we pray to the Lord. That governors, lawmakers, and civil leaders respect and uphold the freedom of religion…we
pray to the Lord. That Americans prepare to celebrate Independence Day with gratitude for those who have
served to keep our country free…we pray to the Lord. That the elderly, sick, and dying be supported in their dignity and comforted in their cross…
we pray to the Lord. That families traveling this summer make time for Sunday Mass, daily prayer, and personal
renewal…we pray to the Lord. That God will call young men and women from our parish to the priesthood and religious
life…we pray to the Lord. That St. Michael parish will become a community of missionary disciples who seek the re-
wards of a life lived in Christ…we pray to the Lord.

St. Michael is committed to
becoming a parish of
missionary disciples.
May we become disciples
who know the God who
knows us, love the God who
loves us and serve the God
who serves us...so as to share
Jesus Christ with others.

All people desire to know their Creator. All people have a natural impulse to seek the
good and to live in accordance with that good. All people can flourish when they pursue the
truth about God and respond to the truth. Religious freedom means that all people have
the space to flourish. Religious freedom is both an American value and an important part of Catholic teaching on human dignity. When we promote religious freedom, we promote the common good and strengthen the life of
our nation and the community of nations.
