Grateful for God’s Providence Capital Campaign
Prayer for Grateful for God’s Providence Campaign
Almighty God, your Son Jesus called us to form a Church that is one, holy, catholic and apostolic, and your
Holy Spirit guides us on our way. Ever grateful for your providence in our lives, we ask your blessing
upon our campaign and upon all the work we do for your Church. Give us a joyful spirit, a confident
outlook, and a renewed zeal as we live and share the joy of the Gospel. Help us to remember that without
you, we can do nothing, but that with you, all things are possible. This we ask through Christ our Lord.

the parish office; we can arrange to have cards sent to our
homebound parishioners to let them know we are thinking
and praying for them, and we can arrange for Mr. Moreira, our

communion. Please also let us know of any parishioners

October 20, 2019
This is a busy and most grateful weekend. Ron returned for
this weekend’s 5PM and for Confirmation today at 4 PM. WE
MISSED YOU.; BUT DON’T OVERDO IT! Please keep in
your prayers Mrs. Janice Allard, mother of Jeff, our recent
5PM supply organist. She is critically ill.
We welcome Bishop Robert Evans, Auxiliary Bishop of
Providence, for our Confirmation. He has fond memories of
his residence at St. Margaret’s. This is a great Confirmation
class. Thank you to Mr. Moreira for walking with these fine
candidates.
Many parishioners commented that they were very
impressed with the Campaign for God’s Providence video.
Art and Paula DeBlois, our very committed parish co-chairs
for the Campaign have stated it very succinctly,...to the effect,
it’s our turn as committed and active members of the Catholic
Church to handover to our children and grandchildren not
only the faith, but also the ministerial heritage we have
received. Jesus said, “What you received as a gift, give as a
gift.” This entire campaign is to deepen, strengthen and
preserve the parish and larger diocesan ministries. All I can
do is to ask each parishioner to pray for our efforts. Please
consider a stretch gift over 4 years to help us reach our parish
goal of $491,000. Officially, we have to date over $101,830
from 9 gifts or pledges. There are other major gifts that are in
motion. Whatever we raise, St. Margaret’s will receive 40% of
whatever comes in. The over goal share is 60%. Thank you
for your prayers for the success of our parish participation.
The St. Margaret School NOVEMBER CALENDAR
fundraiser is important for our great parish school.
Calendars are $10 and a winner will be drawn everyday.
The Cub Pack #88 will take orders for Christmas wreathes
next week. And, The Bread of Life Food Pantry is having its
gala at Waterplace Park, Providence on Nov. 2nd. Tickets
are $50. Info is in the front vestibule.
