A Message from Deacon Don Bradley Dear St. Cecilia Catholic Community,

The past 43 years of being a Deacon at St. Cecilia have been a privilege and pleasure. It has been a blessing to truly feel part of so many families. Whether it was a baptism, first communion, or wedding, you made me feel one with you; a hospital or home visit, at the time of serious illness or death, Mass, or interment, you made me feel one with you.

Today, I want to and I must thank you all for being a part of my family as we cele-brated so many things in a few days. We celebrated Miss Lilly’s and my 90th birth-day, 43 years of diaconate service and 65 years of marriage. Sadly and joyfully, Miss Lilly was called home to heaven. You were part of my family for so much of it! You were family to my family.

On behalf of my family, I thank you for all the prayers, flowers, cards and Mass cards, and all the delicious food. A special thank you to Andrew Meinen and the choir who sang so beautifully and the lovely ladies of the Women’s Club who so gra-ciously arranged and served a beautiful reception. Also, a very heartfelt thank you to my fellow Deacons and all the clergy, including my baby brother Monsignor Ed Bradley, who con-celebrated Mass for Miss Lilly. Finally, thank you for all the hugs. Please keep them coming. I need them and that is what families do for each other.

God’s blessings,

Deacon Don Bradley
