We have received around 20 nominations from the parish which is wonderful and all of them of quality. I had planned to commission a new team on Pentecost Sunday, but as we focus upon the children of our Community preparing for First Communion, I have decided to move the Commissioning to the next Sunday, Trinity Sunday. This will also give me a chance to bring together the Leadership Team for a discernment ses- sion before the Commission. Hopefully then by early June, a new Leadership Team will begin the journey of pastoral care for our parish. Please continue to pray for the success of this endeavour. God Bless, Fr John. Happy Mother's Day! This weekend we honour the mothers and mother-figures of our community as the world celebrates Mother's Day. A spe- cial day to remember the love, guidance and sacrifices of these special people in our lives. Mary, the Mother of God, has been honoured by the Church for centuries. We recognise Mary as a role model of our Christian discipleship as well as a role model of motherhood. Today we pray that through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, all the mothers and mother-figures of our lives may be blessed abundantly on this special day. On Friday, we celebrated the Mother's Day Liturgy and breakfast with our St Bernardine's school community. The church and outside gathering area was filled to capacity. What a fitting tribute to the special people of our lives! God Bless, Jack SPECIAL MORNING TEA NEXT SUNDAY 20TH MAY There will be Special Morning Tea next Sunday at St Bernardine’s Church with it being Pentecost Sun- day and the Retreat Day for candidates prepar- ing for First Communion. If you are available to help next Sunday Morning that would be very much appreciated. We look forward to seeing you there.

FIVE LANGUAGES OF LOVE ENRICHMENT SEMINAR The 5 Love Languages- the secret to love that lasts: Enrichment Seminar for married couples is based on the international bestseller by Dr Gary Chapman (more than 10 million copies sold). We all need to feel loved. Men and women have an “emotional love tank” that makes us feel content, se-cure, and loved when it’s full. When it’s empty, when we feel totally unloved, we feel threatened, angry, frustrated, and alone. The key question all of us face is: what makes me feel loved? We all communicate love primarily according to one of five love languages. Many of us need help recognising our primary love language. And the truly life-changing moment comes when we understand someone else’s love language. Speaking the right love language can make all the difference! 9am-5 pm, Saturday 9 June 2018 at the Our Lady of Mt Carmel primary school hall Cost: $60 per couple (includes course materials, lunch and morning & after-noon cuppa) More information and booking: https://trybooking.com/TWXC Booking enquiries: Cathy & Vincent Agius: Email [email protected] Lolita Norris 0403 514 454 Email : [email protected]
