Since 2002, Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie and Area (HFHSSMA) has been working hard to make dreams come true and help break the cycle of poverty. Our goal is to continue to offer families in need a safe, decent and affordable place to call home and your support is vital to that.

HFHSSMA does not give away free homes — the families who partner with us pay an interest-free mortgage geared to their income and volunteer 500 hours with HFHSSMA. As homeowners pay off their mortgage, the funds are invested into a revolving fund, which is used to build more homes for families in the community. We know that affordable homeownership plays a critical role in helping families create a new foundation for a stronger future, one that’s filled with possibilities and progress. Affordable homeownership allows families to foster the skills and confidence they need to invest in themselves and their communities. The benefits of a Habitat home reach far beyond the four walls volunteers and families raise together, Habitat families have reduced reliance on social housing and food banks, better education and employment outcomes, and improved health.

Our sponsors help us build homes for the families we serve. With your help, we can continue to serve deserving families in Sault Ste. Marie. We are currently on build 10 & 11, a semi-detached house on McAllen Street. As we move closer to the end of this project and the beginning of the next build, we are launching our first ever Sponsorship Drive with the goal of increasing our impact within the community.

When you partner with HFHSSMA, you invest in the community. The attached sponsorship package outlines various sponsorship levels; however, HFHSSMA can work with you to personalize a level that is right. Sponsorship can be monetary or in-kind with the donation of goods or services. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration of this request.
