The volunteers of the Broward County Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) in conjunction with

the Fire Chiefs Association of Broward County and the City of Margate will be hosting the 10th

Annual Florida

Family Safety Fest & Expo on Saturday, April 25, 2020, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at 1000 SR 7 in Margate.

This is a benefit to raise money for the CERT programs in Broward County and a community education

event.

The 10th

Annual Florida Family Safety Fest & Expo will have something for the entire family. We start with a

pancake breakfast from 9:00 until 11:00 am. Then from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm we will have children’s

activities, bounce houses, games, live entertainment, food vendors and fire department, police and K-9

demonstrations, There will be fire engines and rescues, police cars and tactical equipment, other agency

exhibits and much, much more.

The 10th

Annual Florida Family Safety Fest & Expo is expected to draw thousands of attendees from all

over South Florida. This regional event got its start in 2010 as the Margate Fire Prevention Family Fun Day.

The event has since outgrown its original home at Firefighters Park in Margate, and became so successful that

in 2016 it was moved to the Coral Springs SportsPlex and rebranded as the Florida Family Safety Fest. This

year we return to Margate in a new location. We are offering your organization the opportunity to share in one

of the most comprehensive exhibition and advertising exposure platforms in the local area market. Your tax-

deductible donation as a sponsor will give you the opportunity to reach thousands of your neighbors, and

support the CERT programs in Broward County. We count on the support of our community, neighbors, and

sponsors like you, not only to help us with this event, but to allow us to continue providing services to the

community throughout the year.

The CERT programs provide free training in disaster preparedness to volunteer members of communities

throughout the country. Team members work closely with their sponsoring agencies, usually a fire or police

department, to advance their training and to learn new skills. When called upon, teams provide large-scale

emergency and disaster response, first aid and safety at public service events, missing person searches,

firefighter rehab at fire scenes, along with many other support functions as requested by the local agencies.

We hope you can contribute by becoming a sponsor. You can also help by donating a gift certificate or

product that we can use as a raffle prizes. No donation is too small. Monetary donations are always accepted.
