ZIPPERS: We use only YKK® brand zipper coil and sliders. Industry wide, these are reputed to be the best components available. To this combination we add our own “Stealth-Pull” zipper pull-tabs. Built in-house right here at SPEC.-OPS.® Brand, we use the finest hardware possible. Our solid core, “Diamond-braid” cord is heat-sealed and pressure fitted to the pull hardware for maximum strength. These are the quietest, most durable pulls on the market today. A minor detail that can make or break a product’s performance.

FABRICS: We only use fabrics constructed from pure Nylon fibers. No fiber as of yet beats Nylonwhen it comes to overall performance. We only use 1000 Denier Cordura® fabric for all exposed surfaces and high-stress areas. Cordura® fabric is the gold standard in terms of strength and durability. This robust fabric is made from “Air-textured” Nylon “6/6” fibers, the toughest grade Nylon available. Our fabrics meet the most current specifications for Shade, Color, and IR signature. We also use the finest 100% U.S.A. sourced materials, which means that if you need Berry Amendment compliant gear, we can deliver it.

CONSTRUCTION: No matter how good your materials might be, it doesn’t mean a thing if you don’t put them together using the best methods possible. Every product we build is engineered to deliver maximum performance and durability. From our double stitched seams to reinforced stress points, our products are built to deliver long lasting dependability.

“HD” (High-Density) Belt Webbing™ from SPEC.-OPS.® Brand. Back in Y2K when we introduced our line of belts we had a purpose in mind: make the most comfortable and functional pants belts on the market. To that end we succeeded with over a half a million sold. Over the years we have made several improvements to our original designs including our patented Battle Buckle®. However, the one thing our custom-ers constantly requested was a stiffer belt for carrying side arms and accessory gear.

Until this point in time all commercially available webbings were either too soft, or had to be doubled-up / chemically treated to achieve the desired strength for carrying heavy side-loads. Now with the introduction of our exclusive “HD” belt webbing we have achieved the needed level of side-load capability without sacrificing wearer comfort. Our unique weave and extra dense fiber count affords a stiffer, yet still comfortable to wear belt. Added to that we have infused “Anti-Microbial” And flame-resistant (FR) characteristics to the product to enhance comfort and safety – an industry first and only from Spec.-Ops. Brand.

HARDWARE: Our patented BATTLE-BUCKLES™ Hardware utilizes innovative armored ruggedness and low IR Signature built in to the design that will meet and exceed the most demanding performance standards. BATTLE-BUCKLES™ Hardware is also easier to manipulate with gloved hands, and set a new standard for hardware ergonomics. All of our fasteners either meet, or exceed military specifications with regards to strength and durability. “HYBRID”™ Weapon Sling Webbing: For nearly a decade SPEC.-OPS.® Brand has been the leader in supplying high performance combat fighting slings to our forces. With nearly a million slings fielded we have gathered a lot of data about the performance of various materials. The conditions in in both Iraq and Afghanistan have presented performance and durability challenges for commercially available Nylon webbing. To achieve the needed performance and maximum durability demanded of weapon slings in theatre, we have combined two combat proven materials into one product. The new Spec.-Ops. “HYBRID” sling specific webbing. By combining the brute-tough durability of textured Nylon and the high-strength and smooth performance characteristics of filament Nylon, we have created a product that will stand up to the severest of environmental and operational conditions . This new web has a cross section with raised “ABRASION-RESISTANT RIDGES” and “articulating segments” to maximize performance with our patented “BATTLE BUCKLE” hardware. Additionally the tubular design affords additional cut and abrasion protection. The result is a new level of performance and durability in the world of weapon slings.
