Introduction

KIDS WeSail (Wakefield Early Support, Advice, Information & Liaison) offer a

number of free information and training opportunities for parent / carers of children

and young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities).

We work in partnership with professionals from Health, Education and Social Care

services, who provide their specialist knowledge and expertise at a number of

information sessions and workshops.

When planning the sessions that will be available from September 2017 – March

2018, we have taken into account the feedback / requests from parent / carers and

the attendance numbers at previous sessions. If you would like sessions on

something that is not detailed in this booklet, please contact KIDS WeSail on 01924

379015 – we’re always happy to hear ideas and suggestions for future sessions!

The following information provides an overview of what the sessions, workshop or

programmes cover, along with the dates, times and venues that it will be available

at. If you are unsure if a session is relevant or would like more information, please

contact KIDS WeSail on 01924 379015.

How to book

Please fully complete the Expression of Interest form at the back of this booklet

and post it to the address at the end of the form.

If you require more than 2 places at any sessions, please attach an extra sheet with

the attendee’s details and which session dates they wish to attend.

Places will be confirmed in writing within 10 working days of receipt of your

Expression of Interest form.

If you are unsuccessful in gaining a place on the date of your choice you will be put

on a reserve list and contacted if places become available.

Please note – all of the sessions are for adults only, therefore we respectfully

request you do not bring children or young people.

Places for professionals are available on some of the sessions and workshops –

please contact KIDS WeSail on 01924 379015 to discuss your requirements.
