Natalie Mayho will be Principal during my absence. Natalie is based at South Coogee Primary as deputy principal and she has worked as a principal at other schools. I would like to thank parents for their support during semester one. Having family and carers at school is always welcomed, I enjoy the conversations that I get to have with you all. Research shows there is a strong link between parent participation and improved student performance. Your suggestions to me help achieve the best for both your child and the school environment. I look forward to continuing our chats in week three. Ms Platts will be working at Orelia Primary School for semester two this year. We all hope she enjoys her time there. I am sure Ms Platts will tackle this new venture with the same passion and dedication she has displayed as part of our cohesive team and will quickly establish herself as a valued employee in her new role. Farewell to Mrs Karen McGlue who has been working in tandem with Ms Platts in the year 3-4 class. The nice part about leaving to start a family is there is no more rushing around to meet deadlines and complete tasks. On the down side, we will miss the pleasurable experience of working with you. We wish you the all the best and thank you for your dedication, enthusiasm and team spirit. I would like to welcome Ms Melinda Saunders to our year 3-4 class for semester two. Ms Saunders will work with the year 3-4 students across the whole week so as to offer stability at a time where both teachers are leaving. Ms Saunders has worked as a relief teacher at Southwell this term and has some knowledge of our students. We look forward to Ms Saunders joining our team, sharing her ideas and passion about teaching. Warm Regards, Elizabeth Melville Principal We would like to acknowledge the Noongar people who are the Traditional Custodians of this land.
