ST. VINCENT DE PAUL HANDYMAN If you need a handyman to help you with vari-
ous small jobs around your house, you could
obtain some help by hiring a Safe Environ-
ment approved volunteer from the St. Vincent
de Paul IHM Conference to help you with
your work. Simply make a donation to the St.
Vincent de Paul IHM Conference for $25.00
for every hour the volunteer spends on your
job. This is a win, win, win situation: we help
you, you help the St. Vincent de Paul IHM
Conference, and the St. Vincent de Paul helps
the many people in need. So if you need

for next year’s programs. We are looking for passionate, faithful, and reliable adult
volunteers to help the kids of our parish draw closer to Christ. If you are interested in

“An evangelizing community knows that the Lord has taken the initiative,
he has loved us first and therefore we can move forward, boldly take the
initiative, go out to others, seek those who have fallen away, stand at the
crossroads and welcome the outcast. Such a community has an endless
desire to show mercy, the fruit of its own experience of the power of the
Father’s infinite mercy. Let us try a little harder to take the first step and to
become involved.”

ADULT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED This fall we will inaugurate the Life Teen (high school) and
The EDGE (middle school) ministries at IHM! We are
seeking for adults (18 years and older) to join us in this
second year mission to boost our youth ministry! Both
groups will meet on Sunday evenings right after the 5:00
p.m. Mass.
You do not need any previous experience in youth
ministry. However, the only requirement is that all
volunteers must successfully complete the Safe
Environment/VIRTUS Training prior to volunteering.
There is no age limit to volunteer, but you must be at least
a high school graduate. Summer time is the perfect time to
get all your training complete. Please contact Kathy
Guerrero for more information.
SIGN UP FOR YOUTH GROUP! All youth are invited to join the new IHM youth group. This
Fall we will commence another year of Life Teen (high
school) and The Edge (middle school), and there are NO
requirements needed. We encourage you to sign up early this
summer and invite at least one friend to join also.
Please note: all sacramental prep sessions will be held
separately from Life Teen and The Edge; this youth group
does not take place of sacramental classes and is open to any
teen that wishes to join.
Please go online at www.ihmatlanta.org/enrollment to
complete the registration form and make sure to select the
session: Sunday 6:15-7:30 p.m. (6th-12th Grade).
LIFE TEEN BAND AND SERVERS Calling all young musicians! Life Teen is returning this
fall and we are seeking teens that are interested in joining
the Life Teen Band to play in the Sunday, 5:00 p.m. Life
Teen Mass. Whether you play an instrument or sing, this is
your opportunity to come share your talents at IHM!
We are also urgently seeking for teens to sign up for other
ministry positions such as: Altar Servers, Extraordinary
Ministers of Holy Communion, Lectors, and Ministers of
Hospitality.
To sign up or if you have any questions, please contact Jeff
Bush, Director of Liturgy & Music at
[email protected] or 404-636-1418 extension 247.
TACOS FEST WAS A SUCCESS! We want to thank everyone who came out to our Taco Fest
Fundraiser last Sunday. After selling nearly 600 tamales
and lots of tacos, we raised nearly $4,000!
We are beyond thankful for all the support we received
from the IHM community. We also want to give a special
thank you to all the parents that spent the weekend
cooking, the teens for your hard work, and the people that
generously donated food to make this event a success. We
could not have done it without all of you!
