Comprehensive and verifiablequality control is of utmost impor-tance in todays highly competitivemarketplace. Firstly, this involvesthorough documentation of thequality of the products. Just as

important, however, is a record ofthe testing setup used to examinethe products. After all, how elsecan you be sure that testing waseffective?

    Sensor identification

If you are testing with a smartsensor, every hardcopy will show:

Sensor type Size Serial number Sensing width

The same information is writteninto the hardware list and into thetest results.

    Full documentation

A comprehensive, verifiable recordof testing must include informationon the type of sensor used. Smartsensors identify themselves to theEDDYCHEK 5 with their sensortype, serial number, size and spac-ing. The data is written into the listof hardware components andstored in the testing data. It alsoappears in hard copies of thescreen.

    Continuous monitoring

The system continuously interro-gates the sensor, giving you theassurance that the system is testingreliably. It will alert you if the sen-sor is disconnected or faulty. Whena new sensor is connected, it willenter the new identification intothe hardware components list andtest result data together with thedate and time of the exchange.

    Automatic parametersetting

With smart sensors, the workingwidth of the sensor is automaticallyread in and cannot be accidentallychanged, letting you rest assuredthat the system is testing with theright setting.
