Hint: We recommend using alkaline batteries for longerbattery life.• Locate the battery compartment on the back of the
cash register.• Loosen the screw in the battery compartment door.• Insert three, new "AA" (LR6) alkaline batteries.• Replace the battery compartment door and tighten
the screw. Hint: To replace batteries, you will need to remove the cashregister from the cash register base. See hint on page 6.• When sounds or lights from this toy become faint or stop,
it’s time for an adult to change the batteries!Hint: If your child is not actively playing with this toy, it turns off automatically (sleep mode). To turn the toy back on, press any button on the cash register.

Batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burninjury or ruin your toy. To avoid battery leakage:• Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different
types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable(nickel-cadmium).
• Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment.
• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from the toy. Dispose of batteries safely.
• Never short-circuit the battery terminals.• Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type,
as recommended.• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.• Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy
before charging.• If removable, rechargeable batteries are used,
they are only to be charged under adult supervision.

2• Fit the canopy support (back) to the canopy support (front).• Insert two #8 x 1/2" screws into the canopy support (back)
and tighten.
3• Fit a shelf into either of the two legs. Make sure that the
tab on the shelf fits into the groove in the leg.• Insert two #8 x 3/4" screws into the outside of leg.
Tighten the screws.

4• Fit the other shelf to the leg. Make sure the tab on the
shelf fits into the groove in the leg.• Insert two #8 x 3/4" screws into the outside of the leg.

5• Fit the other leg to the shelves. Make sure the tabs on
the shelves fit into the grooves in the leg.• Insert four #8 x 3/4" screws into the outside of the leg.
Tighten the screws.Hint: If you forgot to fit the tabs on the shelves into thegrooves on the legs, it is still possible to do this withoutremoving the legs. Simply press to “snap” the tabs into the grooves.

6• Look inside the assembly and note the star on one of
the legs. • Look underneath the counter top for the star on one end.• Positon the counter top so the star is over the star on the
leg. Fit the counter top to the assembly.• Insert two #8 x 3/4" screws into the counter top and tighten.

7• Turn the assembly upside down. Insert four #8 x 1/2"
screws into the tabs on the legs. Tighten the screws.Hint: You will need to hold the screwdriver at an angle.
8• "Snap" the cash register base into the counter top.

9• "Snap" the canopy assembly into the counter top and
cash register base.

Bin
• “Snap” the scale into the counter top.• Fit the two removable bins into any of the slots on either
the front or back shelf.• Hang the basket on the hook under either shelf.

11• Fit the cash register into the cash register base, as shown.
Be sure the hooked tab on the back of the cash registerfits into the slot in the cash register base.
• Tighten the two attached screws at the top of the cash register with a Phillips screwdriver to secure it. Do notover-tighten.
Hint: You will need to loosen the two screws to remove the cash register when replacing batteries.
