y PIA was formed under an ordinance on 1955.

y In 1964, PIA became the first airline from a non-

communist country to fly to the People's Republic of Chin

y During the Indo-Pakistan War of 1965, PIA helped the

Pakistani forces with logistics and transport.

y In 1990s, government decided to sell airline to private

hands due to the persistent losses suffered by the Airline.But no implement was made than On February 18, 2009

,the programme was dropped from the privatization list.

y After all research and information from PIA staff, we

concluded that PIA is growing day by day. But it has also threat

from its competitors especially from Air Blue which is try to

take its position day by day as stated in research.

y Financial performance of PIA states that due to political

instability and spreading terrorism in the country, its financial

position declined. But PIA has high aim to overcome every

hindrance in its progress.

y It can be proudly said that PIA is only the National Airline ofPakistan that represents it all over the World.
