About Peenya Industries AssociationThe Peenya Industries Association (PIA) was initially set up as a welfare

organization to address the problems of entrepreneurs operating in Peenya

Industrial Complex which is spread over an area 40 sq. kms housing about

8,000 SMEs which employ about 6 to 7 lakh people, of which about 2.5

lakhs are women. Over the years the association has transformed itself into

a facilitator for the promotion and growth of small scale industries. The

association has the honor of being recognized by both the central and state

governments in the formulation of industrial policies relevant to SME sector.

The Association is affiliated to all the major National and State Level

Associations like CII, ICSI, GMCI, FKCCI, and KASSIA. The Association is also

represented in various committees of the Government Departments like

Industries and Commerce, RBI, Central Excise & Customs, Commercial Taxes,

etc., and needs to be represented in all the Consultative Committees of all

the other various Government Departments.

I am glad to know that Peenya Industries Association, Bengaluru is conducting PIA EXPO 2015 a National Level Vendor Development Program at Bengaluru during June 2015. This Industrial Estate which started in the early 70s is now the biggest industrial estate in the South East Asia. The industrial estate has given employment to lakhs of people from all across Karnataka. The MSMEs are deemed as the economic growth of the country and the turn over is about 20 thousand crores. PIA is making a significant contribution both to the State and Central Exchequer by way of Central Excise, Custom Duty, Corporate Tax and Commercial Tax, etc. I am glad that MSMEs in Peenya Industrial Complex are highly competent and have excellent technical manufacturing capacities capable of producing goods and equipments.

I wish the PIA Expo 2015 function all success and bring repute to PIA all over the world for their achievement and success in the field of industry.

I am happy to note that Peenya Industries Association is conducting PIA EXPO 2015, a National Level Vendor Development programs and in this connection is bringing out a brochure for circulation within India and abroad.

Peenya Industrial Estate is one of the biggest industrial estates in South East Asia, spreading across 45 sq.kms with 8,500 SMEs and about 100 largest industries. MSMEs play an important role in the economic growth of any country. I am also happy to note that PIA is conducting this EXPO to dilute the effects of recession to a considerable extent, specially keeping in mind the positive growth of MSMEs.
