Richard Sykes, CEO

Richard has over twenty five years’ experience in the Australian transport industry including management of various transport businesses, owning and operating furniture removal companies, and building and leasing container equipment.

In addition to this, Richard has spent three years in the finance industry which has given him a broad understanding of the financial principals involved in funding and managing cost effective equipment for the Australian transport industry.

He built his career on the strong foundations of loading and driving trucks, before applying his vision and innovation to managing various transport and furniture removal companies, with great success.

Justin Speedy, COO

Justin Speedy joined SCF as the Chief Operating Officer bringing extensive experience in Supply Chain and Logistics management with over 24 years’ experience in the Logistics industry.

His experience covers various modes of transport including intermodal and heavy haulage operations; working with clients such as BHP Billiton, Bluescope, CUB and Coles to deliver superior solutions in metropolitan as well as challenging regional locations.

Justin has attended the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia USA and is experienced and focused on professional project delivery.

Nicholas Woodward, CFO

Nicholas Woodward brings a wealth of international finance experience to SCF having worked in a senior finance role for the past 15 years with leading international services group Bilfinger Berger / AMCEL.

Specialising in commercialisation and implementation of large projects and working with multi-national teams, Nicholas has worked in Scotland, Canada, Panama and Indonesia.

His main focus is on financial processes, finance team development, IT, payroll and statutory compliance.

Nicholas has a Bachelor in Economics majoring in Professional Accounting.

An independently owned and operated Australian business supported with major financial investment through partnership with ICG. SCF manages more than 13,000 containers throughout Australia as well as a depot network spanning Australia’s major cities including Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Melbourne, Karratha, Perth and Sydney.

We have provided solutions to some of Australia’s largest construction projects including The Gorgon Project (Barrow Island, WA), Barangaroo (Sydney) and QCLNG (Curtis Island, QLD) and count some of Australia’s largest businesses as our customers including Toll, Aurizon, Leighton and Schlumberger.

Our Chinese office in Jiangsu oversees the manufacture of all products. A team of four operate wholly out of this office, actively working with local suppliers.

Storage

SCF Containers provide a storage solution for any site, with 6’, 8’, 10, 20’ and 40’ units available. High Cube options are available for 20’ and 40’ units, providing additional storage capacity.

Site Offices

The open plan layout of our Site Offices allow for flexibility in design. Insulated, powered and air-conditioned, they provide a comfortable work environment no matter the weather. Units with in-built sinks and cupboards are available.

Dangerous Goods

Our Dangerous Goods Containers have been designed specifically to contain any spillages of cargo in the container to ensure it does not adversely affect the user, the business or the environment. These units are available in a range of sizes and formats; 6’, 8’, 10’, 20’ and 20’ Side Door.

Workshops

Containerised Workshops provide a flexible and secure on-site solution for your equipment storage and workspace needs by combining the durability of a shipping container with hard-wearing shelving. The units are flexible in layout and can be fitted with 3 phase power, lighting and GPO’s.
