SIM Report to APLA May 2016 Submitted by Sandra Toze, Interim Director, School of Information Management It has been an interesting and productive year at SIM. We wish to thank all of our professional partners and communities, especially APLA for the support you provide for our students from participating in our Professional Partners Program, to attending the student led Information Without Borders Conference, providing guest lectures in our classes, and hiring our students. Students consistently emphasize that the incredible connections with the library and information community here in Atlantic Canada is a highlight of their educational experience. We are hoping to strengthen these relationships even more in the upcoming year, and to promote and broadcast all that we do together. SIM Events This past year we had a very successful series of IM Public Lectures, as you can see listed below. We are looking to expand the ideas of speakers, and welcome input from the community. Who would you like to see? Who inspires you? We are particularly interested in a diverse range of voices on critical Information Management topics.
