DR 830 -16 Louisiana 3/16 Flood- Level IV- Chad Knowlton
• 3 Shelters open with an overnight population of 95• SELA DA located a pocket of Southeast Baton Rouge that had previously undetected damage• Health Services is assessing Vulnerability Populations report with CPS from areas of potential flooding• Staffing for expanding shelter; adding 2 nurses and 2 shifts along with FNSS support
• Reassessed staffing situation and moved resources to assist with critical needs• Shortage of rental vehicles limits service delivery (NWLA)
DR 833-16 Texas Gulf Coast - Floods and Tornadoes - Level IV - Chad Knowlton
• 2 shelters open with an overnight population of 40• Flooding affected several counties in the Texas Gulf Coast region
• Coordinated with SE Texas food bank to redistribute food supplies that had previously been dropped for staging
• Oversee the drawdown of bulk activity coordinated with MARC’s closures• Newton MARC will close; moving staff to other various MARC locations• FEMA DRCs opened in Newton, Orange and Jasper counties on Tuesday, March 29, 2016• The President approved a Major Disaster Declaration for the state on March 19th

DR 831-16 MS 3/16 FLD - Level IV- Chad Knowlton/Shannon McNamee
• 1 shelters open with an overnight population of 5
• Teams continue to work in both north and south, as north is wrapping up DA this week, the operation will begin to transition teams to the south to assist with the remaining DA
• Estimating around 2,600 homes impacted
• On March 25 the President declared a Major Disaster for Bolivar, Coahoma, and Washington Counties, as well as Hazard Mitigation statewide
• The Governor declared a State of Emergency and mobilized National Guard for high-water rescues
DR 828 -16 North TX 3/16 FLT- Level III- Chad Knowlton
• A revised SDP that was sent to the DOCC for review is expected to elevate the operation to a level IV job due to additional storm activity that affected the region
• DA is 90% complete in most areas except some East Texas areas that are inaccessible due to flood waters

DR 806-16 Flint MI (Water Emergency) - Level IV- Chad Knowlton
*DR 806-16 began staffing five PODs Jan. 10-16 (seven days). National Guard staffed PODs starting January 17
• The revised SDP was reviewed and approved by DOCC on March 10th
• FEMA approved the state’s request to extend a federal emergency declaration for the city of Flint and Genesee County on March 25th
DR 828 -16 North TX 3/16 FLT- Level III- Chad Knowlton
• A revised SDP that was sent to the DOCC for review is expected to elevate the operation to a level IV
job due to additional storm activity that affected the region
• DA is 90% complete in most areas except some East Texas areas that are inaccessible due to flood
waters
DR 835 -16 Illinois 3/16 Tornadoes- Level II- Shannon McNamee
• Severe weather produced tornadoes and caused varying degrees of damage in multiple counties on
Tuesday. Many people were left without power
• An estimated 40 homes sustained the most severe damage in a neighborhood in rural East Moline
where 4 homes were completely destroyed
• Disaster Assessments are complete. All impacted areas are assessed and served

• The Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is transitioning from a

• The EOC is serving as CDC’s command center for monitoring and coordinating response to Zika

New Mexico - Wildfire
• A shelter was placed on standby Tuesday morning
• A wildfire which started in Lincoln County this afternoon has burnt 100 acres and is 30% contained. New
Mexico EOC has activated to a level 3 to monitor the wildfire response
• Red Cross staff reached out to Emergency Management to identify needs to support the local community
• Concerns around the continued red flag warnings in the area due to strong winds and higher
than normal temperatures
• No homes have been affected
Multi Family Fires
• There were two Multi-Family Fires listed in the Initial Incident Report
48-72 Hour Outlook
• Thunderstorms, some severe, may impact portions of northern Florida, southern Georgia and the Southern Plains Red River Valley
Flood Fight:
• Significant river flooding is ongoing for areas along the Arkansas/Louisiana border and the panhandle of Florida
• Severe weather across portions of the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, Lower Mississippi Valley, Southern Appalachians, and the Tennessee Valley.
