Good morning to my English teacher and all of my friends. My name is Dewa Ayu Nadia Taradhita, and I

would like to deliver my speech about fighting between students, especially related to question number

3, which is what should we do if we saw that happened.

First, if there is an indication that a big fight between two groups of students will happen, or the fight is

still personal, calm down the people who are involved by doing verbal approach.

Then, if it still didnt work, try to arbitrate disputes. In general, a fight starts from a personal conflict

between individuals. If we see any signs in which each individual is difficult to reconcile, ask two

opposite sides to duel individually. However, this method is difficult if the "solidarity" used as shields to

duel in congregation.

If the fight happens, the local residents should try to disperse the fight. If it gets out of control and we

cant handle it with other local residents, run away from the fighting place. The reason is because its not

safe to stay in that place, and we might be injured.

After we are in the safe place, call the police to catch the provocateurs of the fight so they will get anappropriate punishment. When the police arrived, submit the provocateurs to authorities, not mass-

judging them by harassing those provocateurs. If the fight caused chaotic environment and widens,

there is no harm to evacuate local residents.

Police as the authorities must have affirmative action for securing the fight provocateurs. The

punishments are given by the laws in order to deter them. And for other students who were involved,

the authorities should approach them as a friend, not as their parents or teachers because they

generally prefer a non-patronizing approach.
