“In a world where there is so much noise, so much
bewilderment, there is a need for silent adoration of
Jesus concealed in the Host. Be assiduous in the prayer
of adoration and teach it to the faithful. It is a source of
comfort and light, particularly to those who are
suffering.” Pope Benedict XVI
St. Martha – Feast Day July 29th
St. Martha is the patron saint of servants and cooks. There is not much in the Bible about Martha, the sister of Mary and Lazarus, who was raised from the dead. The last thing that is mentioned about Martha in the Bible is, “Martha served.”
Attention Knights of Columbus
St. Elizabeth Council 13574 As stated in last week’s bulletin. The Deep Freeze of the Pandemic is over. St. Elizabeth’s Knights of Columbus need to start putting together some activities and functions to help your parish. Before the pandemic hit, we were an active council in helping our parish and community. We need to come back and continue the little things that let our priest and parishioners know that we are here to help. The Knights of Columbus are always a special part of many parishes in helping our priest in many ways. A special meeting will be held at the St. Elizabeth basement on Thursday night July 29th starting at 7:00 pm. I ask as many Knights of this council as possible to attend so we can start making plans for our church. If you are not a Knight, but have a possible interest in joining us, please attend also. If you cannot attend, but wish to comment or contribute some ideas, you may contact me at [email protected] or call 802-274-5904 and I will gladly listen. Thank you. Maurice F. Noel PSD/FDM
Prayer for Healing
An important part of the ministry of Jesus and of the Apostles was healing the people. That ministry continues today through the Sacrament of the Sick, as well as through Prayer for Healing. Jesus really does want to heal you of
physical, emotional and spiritual pain and suffering. Deacon Pete will offer Prayers for Healing at the end of Sunday Mass starting July 31. The schedule for the coming 5 weekends:
July 31 4:00 p.m. Mass. - Aug 1: 11:30 a.m. Mass Aug 8 8:00 a.m. Mass Aug 15 9:30 a.m. Mass Aug 22 11:30 a.m. Mass Aug 28 4:00 p.m. Mass
Notice to all Corpus Christi Ministries Starting up all of our ministries here at Corpus Christi Parish, if your ministry would like to put a notice in the bulletin, please submit your request and write-up via email no later than Wednesday at
[email protected] in order to make the deadline for the notice in the bulletin for the upcoming week. Thank you.
July 26 is the feast day of St. Anne and
St. Joachim, the patron saints of grandparents. This is a wonderful way for you to spend time with your grandchildren and to pray for their intentions. Plan on coming to Mass
with your grandchildren on that day!

Focus (Fellowship of Catholic University Students)
Some people wonder what Catholic youth are doing these days and lament that they are not active. To the contrary, many college graduates are working as missionaries in the U.S. on college campuses bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Catholic students. I am supporting one of them with a monthly donation. His name is Liam Coulter and I know him from the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Burlington. He just graduated from UVM. He is headed to NYC to Columbia University. I am very proud of him. He recently told me: “I am very grateful that you have agreed to join my support team financially. This mission is not possible without your help. I head to campus in a little over a week and would love to bring any intentions to prayer with my team.” If you have any personal prayer intentions, please let me know and I will send them to Liam and his team. Just leave them in the Adoration Chapel box. If you want to learn more about FOCUS and support Liam with a one-time or recurring donation, please visit: www.focus.org
As we journey together in the Year of St. Joseph, let us pray to this powerful intercessor using the prayer of Pope Francis “Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. To you God entrusted his only Son; in you Mary placed her trust;
with you Christ became man. Blessed Joseph, to us too, show yourself a father and guide us in the path of life. Obtain for us grace, mercy and courage, and defend us from every evil. Amen.”
